17. nted remains from the old gasket by scraping the surface clean with a metal scraper A Be sure to use the washers flat side facing the manifolds side when reassembling 2 For the Nissan S14 S15 models please use the original genuine washers for the oil water and water return lines Torque Settings 19 6 31 4 Nm 2 0 3 2 kgf m A When the tube lines are connected to the engine please be careful not to over tighten the eyebolts as they can be broken easily 3 Reconnect the air intake tube after removing it from the standard exhaust manifold A You can use the inlet tube gasket provided in the kit For RPS13 S13 models only 1 About the Blow By Seperator Please ensure that there is adequate clearance between the blow by separator and the exhaust manifold 4th pipe If there is inadequate clearance you can increase the size of the mounting holes so you can adjust the position to have adequate clearance 2 EAI control valve installation To keep the EAI control valve you will need to reposition it so that it will not interfere with the exhaust manifold EAI Control Valve Repositioning You will need to prepare a bracket and extension pipe for the repositioning of the EAI control valve A When re routing the EAI piping please be careful to not interfere or contact with other components in the engine bay 15 2 EAI Control Valve Installation Continued Installing the EAI Control Valve
18. old Turbocharger Removal A The following instructions illustrated below are a simple and basic explanation on the removal and reinstallation of the exhaust manifold For more detailed instructions please refer to the manufacturer s service manual 1 Disconnect the batterys negative terminal 2 Please remove and drain the coolant from the car 3 Remove the air duct and air filter 4 Remove the intercooler duct the turbocharger exit 5 Remove the air filter inlet duct turbo charger inlrt 6 Only for PS13 RPS13 Remove the EAI control valve bracket hose pipe resonator and the blow by separator 7 Remove the oxygen sensor The O2 sensor itself does not have to be removed from the outlet 8 Remove the exhaust manifold cover 9 Remove the air inlet tube 10 Remove the oil amp water lines amp the eyebolt of the water line return 11 Only PS13 RPS13 Remove the heater hose water return line bracket and bolt 12 Remove the 3 nuts from the front pipe 13 Remove the oil return line 14 Remove the nuts holding the exhaust manifold and turbine A Please take care with the oil and water lines when detaching from the turbine 15 Remove the turbo from the exhaust manifold 12 2 Exhaust Manifold Turbocharger Assembly 1 Wrap the thermal bandage around the exhaust manifolds pipes thouroughly and secure it with the supplied locks to hold it in place lt Ref Bandage Vol Please soak the bandage in
