Depending on the model you may not be able to pull the crown out without unscrewing it models with screwed down crown Operate this type of watch as follows 1 Before setting the date and time dual time first turn the crown to the left to loosen the screw lock 2 After setting the date and time dual time turn the crown to the right while pressing in until it stops turning to securely tighten the screw 40 MODELS WITH A SCREWED DOWN BUTTON RING EJ 40G only Depending on the product some models may have a configuration that allows the button ring ring on the outer periphery to be locked fixed into place by being screwed down Use the following operating method for this type of watch When wanting to use the buttons first turn the button ring to the left and then loosen it until the screw stops The buttons may not be able to be used if the button ring cannot be loos ened enough Do not turn it more forcefully than necessary After finishing using the buttons turn the button ring to the right and firmly tighten it until the screw stops Do not tighten it more forcefully than necessary POWER RESERVE INDICATOR The power reserve indicator shows how much the watch is wound allowing you to see how much longer the watch will run at a glance The time pointed to by the power reserve hand is the remaining time The remaining time shown is only an ap proximation The time shown may be dif ferent from actual

56. rve hand and other component parts may vary by model The day of the week first displayed may vary DE 40A only 39 HSITDN HSITSN3 AUTOMATIC WINDING AND HAND WINDING MECHANISM 1 This is an automatic winding hand winding mechanical watch 2 The mainspring is wound by natural movements of your arm when wearing the watch on your wrist Itis also wound by rotating the crown 3 If your watch stops winding the mainspring by rotating the crown or swing the watch back and forth ten or more times to re start the second hand After it starts moving set the date and time 4 To wind the mainspring ensure that the crown is in its normal position and slowly turn it to the right clockwise Turning the crown to the left counterclockwise will have no effect When the watch is in a stopped state the mainspring can be wound suffi ciently by rotating the crown approximately 20 times In order to the crown will still rotate even when the mainspring is fully wound This is not a fault Avoid winding the watch more than necessary Since the crown will rotate even when winding is complete wind the watch using the scale on the power reserve indicator as a guide 5 This watch will run approximately 40 hours after it is fully wound If it is not wound enough the watch may lose accuracy In order to maintain the watch s accuracy we recommend wearing the watch at least 8 hours a day MODELS WITH SCREWED DOWN CROWN
