10. ck that the required temperature has been set correctly Increase the fan speed If the air flow is directed upwards use the remote control to direct it downwards Check that the operating mode is set to COOL HEAT or FAN in the AUTO mode the fan speed changes automatically and in the DRY mode it is set to AUTO Check that the air conditioner has been switched if necessary press the On Off button on the remote control Check that the timer has been programmed correctly see pages 18 and 19 Air the room Cleaning Your Air Conditioner To get the best possible use out of your air conditioner you must clean it regularly to remove the dust that accumulates on the air filter PORTANT Before cleaning your air conditioner ensure that you have switched off the breaker used for the unit 1 Slide the lower front grille down 2 Slide the upper front grille up slightly then open the grille by pulling right and left sides of the grille 3 Disassemble the upper front grille by opening the grille completely 4 Lift out the bottom edge of the air filters and pull down to release them 5 Remove all dust on the air filters with a vacuum cleaner or brush 6 When you have finished insert the top part of the filters into their slot and push down on the bottom edge until they click into place 7 Clean the front grille with a damp cloth and mild detergent do NOT use benzene solven
