4. e Cree Trappers Association CTA the James Bay Advisory Committee on the Environment JBACE and the Cree Regional Authority CRA received funding beginning in 2009 from Indian and Northern Affairs Canada to carry out a project for the Identification of Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Measures for the Hunters Trappers and Communities of Eeyou Istchee The main purposes of this project are to e improve the understanding of the environmental implications of climate change in James Bay Eeyou Istchee drawing both on local Cree and Western science perspectives e improve the understanding of the human implications of climate change for Eeyou Istchee with a specific focus on the impacts on hunters trappers and other community members e identify the vulnerabilities of Eeyou Istchee to climate change as well as the possible avenues for mitigation of and adaptation to its impacts e enhance awareness among Cree of the implications of climate change in their territory and e encourage Cree participation in mitigation and adaptation measures The purpose of this internet based application is for the reporting and sharing of regional and community specific climate change observations The types of observations that we would like to obtain are divided into five main themes 1 Land 2 Water 3 Weather 4 Wildlife and 5 Community Infrastructure What the Cree Have to Say About Climate Change Cree What the Cree Have to Say Ab
