1. Illustration Cl gt Pull out the transport handle until it audibly snaps into place gt Pull the appliance by its transport handle When transporting in vehicles gt Secure the appliance against shift ing and tipping over VII y English 11 Storage Maintenance and care Caution In order to prevent accidents or injuries keep in mind the weight of the appliance when selecting a storage location for it see Specifications Storing the Appliance gt Park the machine on an even sur face gt Press the disconnect on the trigger gun and remove the high pressure hose from the trigger gun gt Pushthe casing of the quick coupling forthe high pressure hose toward the rear and disconnect the high pres sure hose from the appliance Illustration II gt Stow away the mains cable the high pressure hose and accessory on the appliance Prior to extended storage periods as during the winter also observe the in structions in the Care section Frost protection Caution Protect the appliance and its ac cessories against frost The appliance and its accessories can get destroyed through frost if there is any water residues in them To avoid damage to them 3 Completely drain all water from the appliance Switch the appliance on with detached high pressure hose and detached water supply max 1 minute and wait until no more wa ter exits at the high pressure con nection Turn off the appl
2. and turn the unit on at the ON OFF switch Press the trigger on the gun the unit is ready for use once there is a constant water system STEP 4 gt Connect the high pressure nozzle and press the hand trigger to begin cleaning English 9 Start up Caution Dry runs lasting longer than two minutes lead to damages to the high pressure pump If the appli ance does not build up pressure within two minutes switch it off and proceed as instructed in the Chapter Troubleshooting Illustration gt Insert the high pressure hose tightly into the quick coupling on the appli ance it will lock in audibly Note Make sure the connection nipple is aligned correctly Check the secure connection by pulling on the high pressure hose Illustration D gt Push the spray lance into the trigger gun and fasten it by turning it through 90 gt Completely open the water tap gt Insert the mains plug into the sock et gt Turn on the appliance I ON Operation Caution Risk of damage The appliance must only be operated laying down horizontal A Danger The handgun is subjected to a recoil force when the water jet is discharged Make sure that you have a firm footing and are also holding the handgun and spray lance firmly 10 English Caution Prior to cleaning make sure that the high pressure is placed safe ly on level ground Wear protec tive goggles and protective clothing during the cleaning pro ce

7. h 3 Safety instructions A Danger m Never touch the mains plug and the socket with wet hands The appliance must not be used if the power cord or im portant parts of the appliance e g high pressure hoses trig ger gun or safety devices are damaged Check the power cord and mains plug for damage be fore every use If the power cord is damaged please ar range for it to be replaced im mediately by an authorised repair agent or a skilled elec trician Check the high pressure hose for damage before eve ry use Please arrange for the immediate replacement of a damaged high pressure hose The appliance may not be used in areas where a risk of explosion is present If the appliance is used in hazardous areas e g filling stations all of the safety pro visions and operating instruc tions detailed in this manual must be observed High pressure jets can be dangerous ifimproperly used The jet must not be directed at persons animals live elec trical equipment or at the ap pliance itself 4 English m The high pressure jet must not be directed at other per sons or directed by the user at him herself to clean cloth ing or footwear Never use the appliance to clean objects containing haz ardous substances e g as bestos Vehicle tyres or tyre valves are susceptible to damage from the high pressure jet and may burst The first indication of this is a discolouration of the tyre Damaged vehicle

9. is will mix the detergent with the water stream Recommended cleaning method 3 Spray the detergent sparingly on the dry surface and allow it to react but not to dry 3 Spray off loosened dirt with the high pressure jet Interrupting operation Release the lever on the trigger gun Lock the lever on the trigger gun During longer breaks more than 5 minutes also turn the appliance off using the O OFF switch Finish operation Caution Only separate the high pressure hose from the trigger gun or the appliance while there is no pres sure in the system Vu 3 After working with detergent sus pend detergent suction hose ina container filled with clear water switch the appliance on for around 1 minute once the spray lance has been removed and rinse until water runs clear Release the lever on the trigger gun Turn off the appliance 0 OFF Turn off tap Press the lever on the trigger gun to release any remaining pressure in the system Detach the appliance from the wa ter supply A Warning When disconnecting the sup ply or high pressure hose hot water may leak from the con nections after operation 3 Lock the lever on the trigger gun gt Pull out the mains plug Caution In order to prevent accidents or injuries keep in mind the weight of the appliance during transport see Specifications When transporting by hand Illustration gt Lift and carry the appliance by the transport and carrying handle

13. tyres tyre valves are highly dangerous Ensure that a dis tance of at least 30 cm is ob served when cleaning with the jet Risk of explosion Do not spray flammable liq uids Never draw in fluids contain ing solvents or undiluted ac ids This includes petrol paint thinner and heating oil The spray mist thus generated is highly inflammable explosive and poisonous Do not use acetone undiluted acids or solvents as they are damag ing to the materials from which the appliance is made A Warning The mains plug and the cou pling of an extension cable must be watertight and must never lie in water Moreover the coupling may never lie on the ground The use of cable reels that ensure that the sockets are at least 60 mm above the ground is recom mended Unsuitable electrical exten sion cables can be hazardous Only use electrical extension cables outdoors which have been approved and labelled for this purpose and have an adequate cable cross section 1 10 m 1 5 mm 10 30 m 2 5 mm Always fully unroll electrical cables from the cable drum High pressure hoses fixtures and couplings are important for the safety of the appli ance Only use high pressure hoses fixtures and couplings recommended by the manu facturer The appliance must not be operated by children or per sons who have not been in structed accordingly This appliance is notintended for use by persons with limit ed physical sensory or
