1. 1 INTRODUCTION Thank you for choosing PowerShield This PowerShield SAFEGUARD UPS is designed to provide safe and reliable usage with minimal maintenance Before you start please read this manual It contains instructions relating to safety installation operation maintenance and warranty of this UPS Please keep this manual in a safe place for future use 2 SAFETY INSTRUCTION This section contains important safety instructions that should be followed during usage of Power Shield product Changes and modification to any this unit not expressly approved by Power Shield will void the product warranty ATTENTION Electrical Safety Maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel Failure to do so could result in an electric shock Replace battery only with Power Shield supplied battery Although the product may be unplugged from mains hazardous voltage still may be present through the battery High current through conductive materials could cause severe burns Check that the input power cord output receptacles are in good condition n order to maintain compliance with the EMC directive output cords attached to the UPS should not exceed 10 meters in length Total leakage current from connected equipment and the UPS must not exceeded 3 5mA for a pluggable A type UPS CAUTION Battery Safety When replacing the batteries use the same number and type of batteries See www powershield com au D
