10. ecked during every scheduled maintenance procedure In a hydraulic brake system the thickness of brake disk and brake pad must be checked Check the wear mark 1 on each brake pad if one of the two brake pads is worn to the wear mark replace both pads If the thickness of brake disk is worn to its limit the disk must be replaced at once Rear brake inspection 1 Set the scooter on the main stand on a level surface 2 Check the free play of rear braking lever The proper free play is 10mm 20mm 3 Turn the adjusting nut 2 clockwise to decrease the free play or counter clockwise to increase it If you can not adjust the free play properly take your scooter to an authorised Nipponia service point 33 2 Adjusting nut SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE 3 Pin 4 When the adjustments are finished the adjusting nut must have its groove with the pin locked at the desired point 5 Press the lever several times and ensure that the wheel rotates freely after you release the brake Rear brake lining The brake lining of the brake can be worn after some use Frequently scheduled inspections of wear condition of brake lining must be carried out When pressure is applied to the lever the indicator 4 moves to the sign 2 on the brake drum Holding the lever tightly if the indicator aligns with sign the brake lining is worn out and needs to be replaced as soon as possible Battery This model uses a 12V 7Ah mainten
