PROG RESSIVE Dhiba AXICON ONLINE BARCODE VERIFIER USER GUIDE eoecececeerecec reece ee eee ee eee eee eee eee ese ese eee ese eee eee ee ee ee ee eee see eee eee eee ees eee eee eeeeeeses SUMMARY The Axicon verifier uses a different program when scanning and verifying labels in a continuous run This is the Online Verifier app and can be installed from the disc supplied with the barcode verifier eoecececeerecec reece eee eee eco eee eee eee eee see eee eee see eee eee e soe eee eee ee eeeee eee eee ese ee eee eeeeeeses HOW IT WORKS The system works by using jobs to record each print job sent to the printer Each job is saved as a folder containing e Spreadsheet csv a full read out of the job including the full verifier parameters that are analysed This provides a full technical read out of every single scan including the ISO criteria for verification e Scan File SCN the same scan file as used with the verifier software so is useful for investigating any issues further making use of the diagnostic tools The same details are also recorded in the spreadsheet By default only failed scans are saved as a Scan file e Summary file which states very brief information about the job e Text File which contains any notes recorded at the end of each job This is optional Step by step Procedure 1 Press Go If enable auto filename is switched off enter a job name 2 Start Printing Labels The verifier will capture e

4. e setting select Options gt Setup F5 to open the Setup dialog box Logging Tab Under the logging tab enable Automatically generate job names as every job is saved as a folder It is recommended to use this setting because each job will then be saved using the date and time the job was started e g 2013 08 26_10 18 25 making sure each job is unique If this is left disabled unchecked you will be prompted to enter a job name every time otherwise the job default will be used automatically which gets overwritten Under Save you can select whether the software generates a full scan file for no scans only the scans that fail or every scan It is recommended to set this to Failed Scans as it is not necessary to have a scan file for every scan All the technical data is recorded in the spreadsheet csv and saving every scan could lead to a large number of files being generated Label Setup Tab The Number of barcodes on a label should be set to zero and the Minimum number of scans per code should be set to 25 to ensure a good read of each barcode The Report irregular timing between decodes if enabled checked will cause the software to generate an error if there is any interruption when verifying barcodes This is useful to indicate missing labels on the reel or print problems severe enough to damage the barcode to the point where it cannot be detected It is worth stressing that the irregular timing does not necessarily mean that a barcode
