ECLASS Express export to FCG For details refer to the FIRECLASS Express help You specify a path and name for an export file Place this in a suitable project folder The file will contain configu ration details of the FIRECLASS fire alarm system such as the zones and points 4 Locate the BACnet Converter installation PC On this PC navigate to the following BACnet Configurator executa ble and open it this is the path suggested in the instal lation guide C Program Files FIRECLASS BACnet_x_yy BACnet Con figurator exe 5 To start anew BACnet configuration skip to Step 6 Or you might want to update an existing saved configu ration ina BNP file To do this use File gt Open navi gate to the BNP file and open it Now go to the General tab and click Update Then nav igate to the exported XML file and open it you might need to copy this file across from the FIRECLASS Express PC The configuration settings from the XML file are now compared to the existing BACnet configuration set tings Any changes between the two are merged as fol lows If loop points have been set to Empty in the XML file they will be deleted from the BACnet IF configura tion f loop points or zones have been added in the XML file they will be inserted into the lists and their BAC net ID will be initialized with none 6 Tostartanew BACnet configuration switch to the Gen eral tab and click Load Now navigate to the exporte

FIRECLASS Fire detection system FIRECLASS BACnet converter FIRECLASS BACnet converter FIRECLASS BACnet converter Oy No 557 202 135 UC 7101 Ready Universal Communicator Fig 1 UC 7107 computer This guide leads you through the process of creating and implementing configurations for the FIRECLASS BACnet Interface This must always be carried out as follows As part of anew FIRECLASS BACnet interface installa tion After the BACnet Converter Moxa device firmware has been updated When there is a new issue of the BACnet Configurator program see below This will automatically make corrections for example to the BACnet IDs in the various Value columns see below You must have first installed the FIRECLASS BACnet Inter face as described in the installation guide The installation guide also provides an introduction to the interface To create or update a configuration 1 Locate a PC running FIRECLASS Express It will be eas ier if this is the same PC used for the BACnet Converter installation Start FIRECLASS Express and open the project file PJQ containing the fire alarm control panel configu ration Check that the processing capacity of the Moxa inter face device will not be exceeded Each device can inter face around 2 000 points to BACnet These may be located on different panels For more points a second Moxa device is needed Configuration information Doc version 1 0 3 In FIR

This section provides information on making the settings in the various tabs of the BACnet Configurator This section just explains the variously possibilities which are available in the BACnet IF Configurator Please refer further down where every tab is described in detail The settings must be written into the BACnet project BNP file This stores the settings for future use In addition this file must be present before the configuration can be trans ferred to the Moxa device see above Panels Zones and Point Tabs Initially no FIRECLASS points will be interfaced to BACnet so the columns of the tabs will contain the following none where the associated device can provide ana logue values where the device does not provide an analogue value only a state You need to interface the required points as described below not all points will necessarily need to be interfaced The procedure is the same for all tabs To interface an FIRECLASS point 1 From the row and column headings decide on a cell you want to interface to BACnet This will be a cell con taining none Alternatively you can select a range of cells rather than a single cell For details see the section below 2 Right click on the none entry This will replace none with the BACnet ID Right click again if you want to switch back to none Configuration information Doc version 1 0 FIRECLASS Fire detection system FIRECLASS BACn
