2. 2 4 Procedure of installation This section outlines procedures required prior to actual physi cal installation of ASI 5105 I O card in your computer system CAUTION y BE SURE THAT THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE PER FORMING ANY HARDWARE CONFIGURATION CHANGE ON YOUR COMPUTER 1 Open the cover of your computer x 2 Remove bracket of blank slot which you want to insert ASI 5105 3 Connect any one of daisy chain cables to J2 J3 J4 If you want to use relative devices Make sure that each cable s pin 1 be match to pin 1 of each relative connector 4 Connect other end of daisy chain cable to your necessary devices 5 Insert ASI 5105 into I O expansion slot 6 Secure ASI 5105 with bracket screw 7 Connect fixed disk drive activity LED in the front panel of your computer case if any to JP1 8 Close the cover of your system 9 Connect any D type connector of relative devices to J5 or J6 10 Connect relative devices to other end of cable with D type conntector Reference to your system manual for more detail informa tion to do it 3 OPERATION 3 1 Configuration of your computer Once you finished hardware installation of ASI 5105 I O card power on the system and enter SETUP program which provided by your computer system select correct type and number of IDE drive and FDD 3 2 Start to operation Save your confiuration in your computer CMOS RAM and reboot computer so you can boot your system and start
