1. included in the delivery If you have opted to fill the Sololube lubricant cartridge yourself please follow the instructions given below before starting the installation Please only use lubricants tested and approved by Gruetzner GmbH To fill the lubricant cartridge you will need a standard grease gun and the refill nipple SAT3012 An ideal result is achieved if you rotate the cartridge while it is being filled Position the pressure plate The pressure plate of the Sololube lubricating unit must be placed in the correct position before starting 1 Carefully turn the pressure plate clockwise up to the limit stop 2 Then turn the pressure plate between one half and one whole turn anticlockwise up to the start position see label on plate 3 Screw together the prefilled lubricant cartridge and the drive unit together Ensure that both parts are securely connected If done properly a small quantity of lubricant should emerge from the outlet WARNING If the pressure plate does not sit on the green piston when the cartridge and drive unit are screwed together no lubricant will be pumped 2 Start the Sololube make settings The Sololube can operate for up to one year 1 12 months the setting is made at the drive unit using DIP switches Please unscrew the cover of the drive unit and refer to Table 1 see page 4 for the required running period By switching the dip switch to the ON direction the So

OLOLU Electromechanical Lubricator user manual Gruetzner GmbH Kohlenhofstr 60 D 90443 Nurnberg Tel 49 911 277 399 0 Fax 49 911 277 399 0 web www sololube com mail info sololube com Sololube Installation and Start Up General safety instructions Before installing and starting up the Sololube lubricator on the machine these operating instructions must be read through carefully by all persons entrusted with the assembly installation maintenance and operation of the system Proper trouble free functioning of the Sololube lubricating unit is only ensured by using the recommended and tested lubricants of Gruetzner GmbH and by following the installation operating and maintenance instructions Failure to follow these instructions releases Gruetzner GmbH from any liability whatsoever for consequential loss or damage Before installing and starting up the Sololube lubricating unit both the lubricating point and any extensions and grease lines must be greased through or pre greased with the appropriate lubricant using a grease gun IMPORTANT Only use original Sololube spare parts cartridges threaded couplings and Sololube batteries Other batteries can irreparably damage the electronics The Sololube lubricator consists of a drive unit a lubricant cartridge a transparent protective cover a set of batteries and an adapter 3 8 gt 1 4 Before starting the installation please check that all the parts are

7. lolube is now set for the relevant running period and is ready to start th d IMPORTANT Please do not insert the battery until AFTER you have switched the dip switch If any subsequent changes are made to the running time set ting the battery must always be removed from the unit before changing the DIP positions For the changes to become effective memory is deleted the battery must be removed for at least 15 seconds After switching the DIP switch insert the battery in the battery compartment provided and screw the cover back onto the drive unit Pull the transparent protective cover over the drive unit of the Sololube lubricating unit to protect it from dust dirt and moisture After inserting the battery the Sololube responds as follows SOLOLUBE BASIC The drive units motor starts up briefly the red LED lights up for 10 seconds The Sololube then switches to operating mode and operates according to the setting made The Basic model only has one red LED which lights up when it is started and then only if any errors or faults occur Empty excess pressure voltage problems SOLOLUBE Xtra150 amp SOLOLUBE Xtra250 Unlike the Basic model the Xtra150 and the Xtra250 have a red and a green LED After the battery is inserted the green LED flashes 5 times and the Sololube drive performs an automatic test run one turn green LED flashes quickly while the motor is running The Sololu
