1. installed align the bottom hole of handle on outside of door Using a 1 8 drill bit drill through outer skin of door only Install flat head screw provided 10 Attach strike to door jamb with short screws provided so strike firmly engages the latch2. SK940 Assembly and Installation L 2 3 4 Remove all parts from package and old handle set from door The keys should be packaged separately from the key lock DO NOT INSERT A KEY INTO THE KEY LOCK Check that the key cylinder does not come apart from the lock shell If it does insert it back into shell insert key and rotate 180 degree to lock it into place Remove the key Q Insert the assembled pushbutton into the nange with the slope of the button at the bottom fig 1 7 Place back plate against outside of door Insert spindle in through the spring fig 2 wE and guide the spindle through the center hole on outside of door with head of spindle against outside of door Place handle and push button into holes on outside of door and rotate the spindle so the head sits firmly in cavity of lock cylinder Without depressing the pushbutton the spindle must project through the inside of the door from 1 4 minimum to 3 8 maximum If the spindle is too long cut or saw off within the above range remove the spindle from the door to cut or saw If you have cut the spindle incorrectly or have any other problems with installation please call 1 800 361 2236 x 230 or e mail info idealinc com 8 Replace spindle Hold handle firmly against door press pushbutton and guide inside latch onto the spindle Secure with machine screws provided for your door thickness 9 Once the inside latch is
