9. pply circuit wire and ground fixture wire with symbol label together with wire nut C Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires Twist stripped wire ends of fixture and supply circuit wires together black to wire with L symbol label hot and white to wire with N symbol label neutral Twist on wire nuts C Tape wire nuts and wires together Care fully tuck connected wires and wire nuts into outlet box Alternatively if there is no ground supply circuit wire only attach the ground fixture wires to the mounting strap A with the green screw B 3 Place the canopy F onto the mounting strap A aligning the two canopy side holes with the two side holes in the mounting strap A Secure into place by screwing two 3 8 in machine screws D through the two canopy side holes and into the two side holes in the mounting strap A 4 Attach outer glass shade K by slipping the lamp holder G and glass stopper H through the top open ing of glass Carefully slide outer glass shade K to rest on glass stopper H Lower the glass cap finial 1 and glass cord fastener J onto the outer glass shade K Screw cap cord fastener J to secure Attach inner glass shade L to lamp holder G and secure in place by tightening the socket nut M onto lamp holder G using the socket fastener N Install light bulb not included Only use bulb of the specified type and maximum rated wattage or less
