Guitar Coatrack By Sherrie Ragsdale Supplies e Mod Podge 7 Piece Tool Kit e FolkArt Acrylic Colors Terra Cotta Licorice e Mod Podge Gloss e Mod Podge Shimmer Silver e Unfinished wood 4 peg coatrack 3 2 x 23 e plywood cut 12 x 24 e w particle board cut 7 1 4 wide x 19 1 2 long e 1 sheet scrapbook paper gray slate pattern e 4 sheets scrapbook paper terra cotta pattern e Black and white photocopy of guitar 7x19 e 15 large head bolts measuring across e 12 nuts to fit bolts e 12small washers to fit bolts e 2 very large washers to fit bolts e 30 Phillips head screws measuring 1 4 across e Phillips head screwdriver electric helpful e Large saw iooth picture hanger with screws e Craft knife e Drill e Ruler e Pencil Instructions Intermediate Skill Level 3 4 Hour Crafting Time 1 2 oa 9 10 11 12 Paint sides and back of plywood with Terra Cotta Let dry Tear large pieces of the terra cotta scrapbook papers and glue them onto the plywood front with Mod Podge Gloss overlapping the pieces as shown Note To remove air bubbles and make the paper lay flat always rub paper with fingers while glue is wet pressing from the center out towards the edges Let dry Use craft knife to trim paper even with edges of the plywood Paint a coat of Mod Podge Gloss over entire board Set aside to dry Remove pegs from coatrack Paint entire2. coatrack and pegs with Licorice Let dry Dry brush over the Licorice with Mod Podge Silver Shimmer to give a gunmetal effect Cut gray slate scrapbook paper to fit top surface of coatrack Glue on with Mod Podge Gloss Measure and mark where the screws will go on the coat rack Refer to photo Screw into place Note You ll need to drill holes for the bolts to sit down in Glue into holes with Mod Podge Cut the 19 1 2 length of particle board into 3 pieces that are 6 1 2 wide Cut guitar picture in 3 pieces to fit Glue guitar pieces onto particleboard sections using Mod Podge Gloss Let dry Paint an even coat of Mod Podge Gloss over top of 3 sections to seal and protect Let dry completely Drill holes in each of the 4 corners of the sections of guitar picture Insert bolt through small washer then through hole in corner then tighten nut on back Repeat for all corners Glue coatrack at bottom of board using Mod Podge Gloss Put Mod Podge Gloss on each bolt and set into place on board Allow project to dry flat overnight Re install pegs of coat rack Screw on the saw tooth hanger on back Please read and follow all manufacturers instructions for all tools and materials used Provide adult supervision if children participate in this project Disclaimer The information found in each project is presented in good faith but no warranty is given nor results guaranteed nor is freedom from any patent to be inferred Since we have n
