1. Locate the wall console mounting bracket at least 5 feet above the floor A WARNING Wall Button must be installed within sight of the garage door out of reach of children ata minimum height of 5 feet 1 5 meters and away from all moving parts of door Be sure power is not connected before installing the Wall Button Wall Button should only be activated when door can be seen clearly is properly adjusted and there are no obstructions to door travel Always keep garage door in sight until completely closed Never permit anyone to cross path of closing garage door 3 Route and Secure the wires Wire Holder Route the wire up the wall and across dh the ceiling to the opener with wire holders 5 Apply the Safety Label Permanently mount the user safety instruction label next to WARNING the wall console using staples or tacks 14 Child can be pinned under automatic garage door Death or serious resul Never let child walk or run under moving door Never let child use door opener controls Always ke ing door in sight If person ush control button or use INSTALL THE LIGHT BULB 11 Open the Light Cover Pull tab out to swing open the light cover Note Use only standard tungsten light bulb Dimming feature would only function properly with tungsten bulb not energy saving bulb O install the Bulb

PROGRAMMING WITH WALL CONSOLE One of the unique features of the IQ series is that you can 4 If you do not want to make changes to the current setting program everything to the garage door opener with the Wall but advance to the next setting press PROG again the Console without a ladder climbing up to the opener programming sequence will advance to the next level without changing the existing setting This applies to all The programming sequence consists of the following 6 steps in the programming sequence For example if you different settings only want to change the clock setting that is the 5 setting in the programming sequence after entering 1 Up Down Travel Limits programming sequence keep pressing PROG until 2 Opening Closing Force you reach the clock programming sequence Then follow 3 Program Remote Controls the procedure in clock programming 4 Erase All Remote Controls 5 Clock Setting Follow the instructions below for each setting 6 Lock Timer Once you have entered the programming sequence the Wall Console will display all these settings in the order shown above You can program all these 6 settings one by one or you can program the ones you need and skip the ones you don t need General Procedure to Begin Programming 1 Press and hold the PROG button for 5 seconds 2 PROG will appear on the display 3 Follow the instructions below for different settings i e Up Do

Actual Size AAA MA C2 C3 e INSTALL SAFETY BEAM SENSOR Q Check the Safety Beam Sensor LED Plug in the opener The receiving sensor Indicator LED indicator LED green color should glow steadily if the wiring and alignment are correct The transmitting sensor indicator LED red color will glow steadily regardless of alignment or obstruction Loosen Tighten this Wing Nut to align the sensors Y 8 Align the Safety Beam Sensor If the receiver LED is off dim or flickering while the invisible light beam path is not obstructed alignment is required Receiving Sensor Green LED Transmitting Sensor Green Light Red LED On Beam Aligned No Obstructions Red Light Off Beam Not Aligned Or Obstruction Sensors Need Alignment Dim Flickering S Need Ali t On Power on im Flickering Sensors Need Alignmen Off Power Off If the green LED on the receiving unit is on steadily your Loosen the wing nut on the transmitting sensor with safety sensors are aligned properly If the green LED is RED LED on and adjust the angle so it points toward flashing or off loosen the wing nut on the receiving unit the receiving unit adjust the angle until the green LED is on steadily then tighten the wing nut Testing with Obstruction _ With the sensors

Use maximum 60W standard light bulb Reverse the procedure Cy to close the light cover CONNECT THE OPENER TO POWER 1 Connect AC Power Plug motor unit into grounded outlet If a grounded outlet is not available contact a qualified electrician to install a proper outlet DO NOT ACTIVATE THE OPENER UNTIL INSTRUCTED O Permanent Wiring Remove the Power Cord 44 WARNING Be sure power is not connected to the opener and disconnected power to circuit before removing cover to establish permanent wiring connection Garage door installation and wiring must be in compliance with all local electrical and building codes Never use an extension cord 2 wire adapter or change plug in any way to make it fit out let Be sure the opener is grounded O Permanent Wiring Remove Cover 44 WARNING If permanent wiring is required by your local code have a licensed electrical contractor follow procedure below Disconnect power to the circuit before removing cover Be sure the power cord is unplugged Remove the 4 side screws and the bottom cover of the opener O Permanent Wiring Remove the Bushing Be sure the power cord is unplugged Cut the cord about 2 above the bushing Remove the bushing with pliers 15 CONNECT THE OPENER TO POWER 5 Permanent Wiring Hardwire the Opener Connect the conduit to the opener with the proper termination

Door Header Close the door from inside the garage and mark the vertical centerline of the door on the wall and the top door panel A WARNING Header Bracket must be secured to structural supports If appropriate support does not exist install a new support using 2X4 board on drywall or between 2 studs with lag screws not provided DO NOT install header bracket over drywall Concrete anchors must be used if mounting header bracket or 2X4 into masonry Always call a trained door systems technician if garage door binds sticks or is out of balance An unbalanced garage door might not reverse when required 1 1 4 above Highest e point of travel Highest point of travel Mark a spot on the centerline of the garage door 1 1 4 above the highest point of travel of the garage door Sectional Door Use Lag Screws Not Provided to attach the 2X4 2X4 INSTALL THE HEADER BRACKET O Attach the Header Bracket Place the bottom edge of the bracket on the line marked above the highest point of travel Mark the 2 holes Drill Two 3 16 with a pencil Pilot Hole 1 1 4 Above Sectional Door 7 Above Jamb Door Attach the header bracket with 2 lag screws provided B1x2 Highest Point of Travel Note the orientation of the header bracket do not mount it upside down Ceiling Installation The header bracket m

Travel Limit 5 You have now finished setting the Up and Down Limits the Wall Console will begin another programming sequence Force Adjustment 44 WARNING Without a properly installed safety reversal system persons particularly small children could be seriously injured or killed by a closing garage door Incorrect adjustment of garage door travel limits will interfere with proper operation of safety reversal system The door will move during the travel limits adjustment stay clear of the opener s chain door and all other moving parts Safety reversal system must be tested every month After adjusting the travel limits user must allow the door to operate one complete cycle in order to allow the opener to re adjust the opening and closing force After any adjustments are made the safety reversal system must be tested Door must reverse on contact with one inch high object or 2 X 4 laid flat on the floor After adjusting the travel limit either the up or down or both directions the opener will readjust the operating force and would require you to open and close the garage door in a complete cycle When the Wall Console returns to standby condition after finishing all programming the Wall Console display will show an up flashing arrow which indicates you need to open the door once so it will readjust the opening force When the down flashing arrow appears this indicates you need to
10. bolt to the Stop Bolt Hole and secure it with nut CAUTION Use only the specified bolts to attach the T rail to the opener Any other bolts will cause serious damage to the opener O Prepare the Chain Lay down the chain on the floor as shown Do not twist the chain or cable Chain Traveler A gt To Motor Unit Turnbuckle Cable To Door QO Align the Chain on the Sprocket Q Place the Cable on the Pulley Place the cable around the pulley at the end of the rail Start aligning the chain by placing the turnbuckle 10 from the sprocket Wrap the chain around the sprocket The sprocket teeth must engage the chain as shown 10 Start from Here Wrap around the Sprocket Ensure chain cable passes thru the trolley guides Insert the trolley guides into the chain traveler until you hear a click where the chain traveler is completely seated into the trolley Insert trolley into chain traveler Actual Size ASSEMBLE THE T RAIL O Tighten the Chain and Cable To avoid twisting the cable use pliers to hold the threaded shaft while tightening Connect the 2 ends of the chain assembly together at the turnbuckle the turnbuckle with a flat screwdriver Rotate we Do not turnbuckle only rotate while tightening To connect the turnbuckle and threaded shaft hand tighten the turnbuckle by

Setting You have now erased all the remote controls Reprogram each remote you wish to use Clock Setting The clock is displayed in 24 hour format The clock can be used in different ways Show the current time on the display Set the time to activate and deactivate the lock feature disable all remote controls operation Display the time for up to the 9 previous door opening closing events To set the clock 1 In the clock setting mode icon will be shown and the default time is 00 00 or it will show the current time on the Wall Console 2 Press the 4 Y buttons to set the clock to the current time then press SET 3 The clock is now set The next programming sequence is to program the time for the lock timer Lock Timer Lock timer allows you to disable all remote controls from operating the garage door opener within a specific period of time such as from 12 00 midnight to 6 00 in the morning as you don t expect any remote activation during this period of time Once the lock timer is set and enabled it will be activated everyday during the preset time interval To program the lock timer follow the procedures below 1 During the lock timer programming time will be shown as well as the clock icon and lock icon 2 The lock icon means this is the time you would like to start the lock timer Select the desired time with the up down arrow then press SET Start Lock
