Using peripheral devices If the caution message that warns of low remaining battery power is displayed while you use peripheral devices with your CLIE handheld quit operating them immediately and charge your CLI handheld If you continue operating data on your CLI handheld s memory may be lost When remaining battery power gets low When remaining battery power gets low the caution message will be displayed on the screen and operations for Memory Stick media or backlight adjustment become unavailable If this occurs perform the HotSync operation to make a backup of all the data on your CLIE handheld to your computer Then charge your CLIE handheld using the USB cable to prevent accidental data loss If your CLI handheld does not turn on when you press the POWER button charge your CLI handheld immediately The Battery Remain icon does not always reflect the actual remaining battery power To prevent the battery from running out accidentally charge it frequently even when it is not fully discharged Youdo not have to replace batteries When the Battery Remain icon reads at zero connect your CLI handheld to the AC power adapter and start charging immediately Never disassemble your CLI handheld to take out the battery Do not leave the Battery Remain icon reading at zero If your battery drains and you leave your CLI handheld in an uncharged state for an extended period of time all of the stored data will be
