1. VW SENTRY HR100 sound box AM FM BOX RADIO with ALARM CLOCK eC gt 11 gt gt 0K A Congratulations on your purchase of Sentry s XR100 Sound Box AM FM Radio Each unit has been meticulously designed and tested to provide you with years of dependable operation Please review this manual carefully before operating your radio and store it in a safe place for future reference Plugging In and Powering Up The Radio s Clock function uses batteries to ensure accurate time keeping in case of a power outage To install batteries 1 Locate the battery compartment at the back of the radio 2 Depress the latch on the battery compartment cover and remove the lid 3 Insert two 1 5V AA batteries into the compartment making Sure to pay close attention to the polarity indicated on the inside of the compartment 4 Replace the battery compartment s lid To Plug in the Radio 1 Locate a wall socket with an available socket 2 Plug in the radio s electrical cord 3 Make sure the radio s antenna is fully extended and not tangled up in the electrical cord Using the Radio 1 Select either AM or FM using the rotary dial on the front of the radio 2 Turn the Volume knob clockwise until you hear sound 3 Turn the Tuning knob until you reach a channel you enjoy 4 Turn the Volume knob counter clockwise until the radio is in the off position Using the MP3 Cradle amp Auxiliary Inp

3. gt YEAR gt MONTH gt DATE gt EXIT 3 When flashing use UP amp DOWN to change the time setting Setting the Alarm and using the Snooze Feature 1 When in NORMAL MODE press the MODE button two times or press the ALM button to enter ALARM MODE 2 Press SET to change the current setting HOUR gt MINUTE gt MUSIC gt EXIT 3 When flashing use UP amp DOWN to change the current setting When the alarm goes off it will sound for 1 minute Press any button to silence the alarm While using snooze function ZZ will appear on the display The alarm will go off again in four minutes The snooze feature may be used up to 3 times for a total of 15 minutes of snoozing Setting the Birthday Reminder 1 When in normal mode press MODE button three times and then press SET to set the DATE amp TIME 2 When flashing use UP amp DOWN to change setting HOUR gt MINUTE gt YEAR gt MONTH gt DATE gt EXIT 3 The Happy Birthday song will be played at the time and date set on the alarm Setting the Timer 1 When in normal mode press the MODE button four times and then press SET to enter setting HOUR gt MINUTE gt EXIT 2 The timing ranges from 23 59 to 00 00 When the time is due an alert will sound and play one minute and 00 00 will continue to flash Turning ON amp OFF the Clock s Backlight 1 Locate the Light but

5. ut 1 Open the cradle at the top of the radio by sliding the latch toward the front of the radio 2 Fully extend the 3 5mm stereo cable 3 Plug the cable into the headphone or output jack of any MP3 player CD player Satellite radio or other portable audio device with a headphone jack 4 Place the audio device in the cradle for easy access while in use 5 Turn the AUX AM FM selector knob to AUX 5 Set the volume of your portable audio device to 50 of maximum amp use the volume knob on the front of the radio to adjust the listening volume WARNING Make sure the volume of your MP3 or CD player is set to 50 of maximum volume Listening at an excessive volume for a prolonged period may damage the radio s speaker Turn down the volume immediately if you hear any distortion from the radio s speaker Using Headphones You may also listen to the radio using the headphone jack located at the back of the radio Simply connect any headphone with a 3 5MM stereo plug at the back of the radio and turn the radio on Adjust the volume using the rotary volume control located on the front of the unit Using the Clock Press the MODE button to enter all functions NORMAL MODE gt 12HR 24HR MODE gt ALARM gt BIRTHDAY gt TIMER Setting the Date amp Time 1 When in normal mode press the MODE button to enter 12Hr 24Hr mode 2 Press SET to enter the time and date setting until its flashing HOUR gt MINUTE
