6. ions E The corstuction of this shaver is for dry Operation only It is not waterproof Never put the shaiver in part or completely into wetter E Do nd use an aggressive deansing agent as this may destroy the shaver coatings E Do nt remove or replace the head asem bly while shaver is running as it nay cause damage to the unit s screens or cutters E Replace wom or damaged parts with Remington replacerrert parts only Tinmer Care Cleaning L Tum the shaver off 2 Extend the trintrer to its maximum height by pressing the right tiinnmer button 3 Use the cleaning brush to sweep off any dippings that may have accumulated around the trimmer assembly Using the supplied brush will enable you to get into the area between the trinmer and the shaver Lubricating L Every six months apply a drop of light machine oil one third and two thirds of the way along the blade 2 Using your fingertip spread the oil along the teeth 3 Run the tinme for a few seconds to distribute oil Replacing Cutters and Screens To prevent inadvertent damage to the cut ters and screens do not attempt to remove them from the head assembly unless you are replacing them Removal instructions are induded with the cutter and screen replacement packages To replace a cutter assembly that is 1L Hold the asserrbly in the middle of the e 2 Genty slide the plastic portion of the cutter assembly over the top of the oscillator tip 3 Do not pus

10. s keep the protective head guard on the shaver head and keep the timmer in the OFF position when the shaver is not in use Operating the Trimmer Your shaver is equipped with a 3 position tinner L Completely retracted down the rinmer is out of the way and off for when you wart to use the screens alone Press the trintrer button down with your thumb to get it into this position 2 In the midde position the tintrer works with the screens so the screens can get in extra dose cutting the longer hard to shave hairs Push the LEFT side of trintrer button for this position 3 Fully extended up the tinner can be used to trim your sidebums and mustache Push the RIGHT side of trintrer button for this position How it works Trimrer blades work in concert with the shavers dual screen system cutting the longer difficult to shave hairs The timmer blades take the brunt of the shaver wear and tear so you get a dose confortable shave time after time Adjusting to your new shaver As with every shaver your shave will improve over time So allow about three weeks to develop an effective shaving style and for your beard to adjust to the new shaver The adaptation period nay take a little longer if your skin is sensitive or if you altemate between shaving methods To help smooth the transition to your new shaver Remington has applied a special lubricant to the shaver s screens and cutters The lubri
