MEM Press to turn memory on or off Memory initializes maximum and minimum readings LIGHT Press and hold down to engage the display s backlight Release to extinguish the backlight Your RadioShack Digital Indoor Thermometer with Indoor Hygrometer is a useful addition to your home or office It tells you the current indoor temperature as well as the highest and lowest temperature and humidity readings The memory mode lets you recall and view temperature and humidity readings at any time Its small size and fold out stand let you place it almost anywhere for easy viewing MEMORY MODE Press MEM to activate the memory mode MEM appears in the display To view the highest temperature and humidity reading press MAX MIN until MA8 appears in the display To view the lowest temperature and humidity reading press MAX MIN until MIA appears in the display To deactivate the memory mode press MEM again MEM disappears REPLACING THE BATTERIES Your thermometer requires two LR 44 button cells batteries supplied Replace the batteries if the display or backlight dims or disappears You may also need to replace the batteries if the thermometer stops working properly For the best performance and longest life we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries A 4 1 Slide open the battery cover in the direction of the arrow at back of the unit Battery Compartment Fold Out S2. 5. repairs other than those provided by a RadioShack Authorized Service Facility c consumables such as fuses or batteries d cosmetic damage e transportation shipping or insurance costs or f costs of product removal installation set up service adjustment or reinstallation This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state RadioShack Customer Relations 200 Taylor Street 6th Floor Fort Worth TX 76102 12 99 3 Replace the cover PLACING THE THERMOMETER You can place your thermometer on a flat surface or mount it on a wall To set your thermometer on a flat surface pull the fold out stand up and away from the back of the thermometer To mount your thermometer on a wall peel off one side of the backing from the two sided tape supplied and press it onto the back of your thermometer Then peel off the other side of the backing and press the thermometer onto a wall at the desired location CARE Keep the thermometer dry if it gets wet wipe it dry immediately Use and store the thermometer only in normal temperature environments Handle the thermometer carefully do not drop it Keep the thermometer away from dust and dirt and wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new If your thermometer is not performing as it should take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance Modifying or tampering with the therm
