KRAMER Installation tips Using Kramer TP 15 TP 16 VGA XGA TP Transceiver system l The set should be used with UTP unshielded twisted pair wires as when used with shielded wires STP the shield may cause a depreciation in the frequency response and other unwanted effects as ghosting 2 For using in a 4 set of pairs use connectors 8 and 10 for the syncs and don t use 7 amp 9 on the TP 15 16 machine leave the pins unconnected 3 The standard wire pairing in a CAT 5 4 pair wire are as following Number 1 wire pairs with 2 Number 3 wire pairs with 6 Number 4 wire pairs with 5 Number 7 wire pairs with 8 The numbers are counted looking at the standard RJ45 connector Please see to it that the connections are done in the following manner PINS at TP 15 16 WIRES at CAT 5 cable 1 amp 2 1 amp 2 3 amp 4 3 amp 6 5 amp 6 4 amp 5 8 amp 10 7 amp 8
