IN CEILING LOUDSPEAKERS OwWNER S MANUAL AND WARRANTY Thank you for purchasing Klipsch IC 5T and IC 6T in ceiling speakers The IC 5T and IC 6T in ceiling speakers have been designed for soeech and music reinforcement applications Unobtrusive these loudspeakers are engineered for easy versatile installation The IC 5T and IC 6T feature an internal transformer for 70 7V 100V distributed line systems The transformer taps are selected using a rotary switch located conveniently under the grille For applica tions where 16 ohm operation is required the transformer can be by passed by using an optional connection located on the back input terminal Before installing your speakers take a moment to check the con tents of the cartons and make sure nothing has been damaged in transit Contents Description QUANTITY Speaker Modules Grilles Reinforcement Ring Rails Cardboard Cutout Template and Paint Mask Screws Attach Rails to Reinforcement Ring Adapter Fittings lo Adapter Fittings YNA HK BRN YN N Installation Guidelines The IC 5T and IC 6T include a tilebridge for use when installing the loudspeaker into suspended ceilings or wherever additional reinforcement of the ceiling material is required The tilebridge and loudspeaker are designed such that installation may be accomplished where access above the ceiling is not possible or may be difficult Installation 1 The tilebridge is composed of three parts

7. tion to the low impedance termi nal could result in speaker damage amplifier damage or both 70 100 Common Line 5 Insert the soeaker into the cutout hole With a 2 Phillips screw driver tighten the four dog clamps until they are seated securely against the ceiling surface Do not overtighten 6 For installations using the 70 100V input connection set the switch on the front panel to the desired tap setting For applica tions wherel Ohm impedance is desired the switch should be set to 16 Ohms Note The soeaker comes from the factory set at the lowest output setting highest impedance 7 The IC 5T and IC 6T feature a 15 degree swivel tweeter to aim high frequency sound to a desired location To aim sound directly at the listening area gently adjust the horn to the desired angle 8 Using the flat of your hand insert grille into soeaker frame making sure it is securely seated and flush Seismic Tab A seismic tab located on the back of the speaker is used as a secondary security point Some construction codes may require its use To utilize the seismic tab run a support wire from a secure point in the ceiling and attach it to the tab Be sure to consult the construction codes in your area Klipsch recommends the use of this tab in all installations as a secondary means of support IC 5T Transformer tap selectable IC 6T Transformer ta
