1. n No load speed No load Rotational Speed min Revolutions per Minute Revolutions Surface Speed Strokes etc per Minute 1 2 3 Ring Selector Settings Speed Torque or Position Settings FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION CONTROLS AND COMPONENTS Adjustable Pivoting Shoe Blade Clamp Locking Lever Variable Speed Control Wheel Lock Off Button Trigger Switch 7 Power Cord ACCESSORIES 8 Saw Blades 2 O gt O C PS ASSEMBLY 4 WARNING Disconnect the power plug from the AC power source before any assembly adjustments or adding removing accessories Following this preventative step reduces the risk of the drill coming on acciden tally and the risk of damage to the workpiece and injury to the operator ATTACHING REMOVING BLADE BLADE CLAMP INSTALLING THE BLADE Rotate the spring loaded blade holder 1 counter clockwise as far as it will turn Fully insert the appropriate blade 2 into the slot in the center of the blade holder NOTE Make sure the blade is fully inserted into the blade collar and the blade teeth are pointing downward While holding the blade fully into the blade holder release the collar It will auto matically return to its original position locking the blade in the holder Pull outward on the blade to ensure it is properly locked in the blade holder REMOVING THE BLADE To remove the blade simply rotate the blade holder counter clockwise and pull t

Pull the trigger to start the Saw Set the shoe against the work piece When the blade reaches full speed slowly feed the blade into the work piece PLUNGE CUTTING 4 WARNING Never feed the blade into the work piece until the blade is at full speed If the blade is not at full speed the saw may kick back causing serious personal injury Mark out the line to be cut so it is easily visible Start inside the area to be cut Out Depress the lock on button and press the trigger to start the saw Set the shoe against the work piece When the blade reaches full speed slowly feed the blade into the work piece METAL CUTTING 4 WARNING Never use gasoline or any flammable liquid as a lubricant Sparking from the motor may cause it to ignite into flames When cutting metals other then copper brass or aluminum always use a lubricant such as cutting oil to keep the blade cool This will prolong the life of the blade as well as speeding up the cutting process Make sure the work piece is held securely in place Hold smaller pieces such as pipe or conduit in a vise or attach to the workbench with clamps To eliminate vibration always cut close to the clamping point When cutting thin sheets of metal place a piece of plywood on either side to control vibration and prevent tearing MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING WARNING Always UNPLUG the tool from the power source before cleaning

20. he blade out of the blade holder ADJUSTING THE PIVOTING SHOE The pivoting shoe will pivot to follow the angle of the blade to the workpiece This action ensures the flat surface of the shoe is against the workpiece for better cut ting action and easier control of the saw The shoe can be adjusted in or out allowing the use of the blade teeth at different points of the blade This will provide longer blade life as one section of the blade becomes dull 10 To adjust the pivoting shoe pull the Locking Lever upward to release the pivoting shoe Slide the pivoting shoe in or out until it is in the appropriate position Lock the pivoting shoe in place by releasing the Locking Lever Pull outward on the pivoting shoe to ensure it is firmly in place BLE WD OPERATING THE RECIPROCATING SAW A WARNING Never tape the trigger switch down to provide continuous high speed The tool may fail under such conditions causing fire or personal injury NOTE The lock off button helps prevent accidental starting This button can be pressed from either side VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL WHEEL The variable speed control wheel 1 controls the speed at which the saw will run To set the speed control at the slowest speed rotate the set the speed control at the fastest speed rotate the speed control wheel backward to MAX To select intermediate speeds rotate the speed control to an appropriate position between MAX an
