LEFT SIDE SHOWN END VIEW FIGURE 14 HYDRO CONTROL LINK SWIVEL ADJUSTMENT After adjusting the left hydro control linkage move the speed control lever to the mid speed position and then back to the neutral position Recheck the left drive wheel rotation to see if further adjustment is necessary be sure the speed control lever is in the neutral position If inconsistent neutral occurs check to be sure both springs are properly tightened on the speed control lever under the console especially the rear pivot spring Repeat above adjustments if necessary 3 Place the speed control lever in neutral Adjust the right side linkage by turning the quick track knob counter clockwise until the tire begins to rotate forward Begin to retighten the knob clockwise about 1 4 turn ata time stopping to move the speed control forward and back to neutral Recheck the drive wheel rotation to see if further adjustment is necessary 4 The spring that keeps tension on the knob should normally not need adjustment However if adjustment is needed adjust to where length of spring is about 1 25 4 mm between the washers Adjust spring length by turning nut at front of spring d Drive Lever Linkage Adjustment 1 With rear of machine still on jack stands and engine running at full throttle disengage the park brake and move the speed control lever to the midway position Move the respective drive lever upward until it reaches the neutral positi
9. 5 2 3 PTO Safety Switch Mounted to a tab on the inside left side of the fuel tank support a Stop engine and wait for all moving parts to stop Remove ignition key or spark plug wire s b With PTO disengaged and the bellcrank touching the rear of the slot in the engine deck adjust the PTO safety switch if needed until the bellcrank arm is 5 16 from the switch body sure the bellcrank DOES NOT touch the switch body or damage to the switch could occur d Retighten PTO switch mounting hardware 5 2 4 Engine to Mower Deck Belt No adjustment necessary 5 2 5 Pump Drive Belt Tension Adjustment No adjustment necessary 5 2 6 Hydro Drive Linkage Adjustment a Adjust Speed Control Linkage and Neutral Safety Switch 1 Stop engine and wait for all moving parts to stop 2 Move the speed control lever located on the console to the full forward position and check the orientation of the tabs on the ends of the speed control crank Figure 12 These tabs should be pointing straight down at the 6 o clock position or slightly forward Adjust the threaded yoke at the bottom of the speed control linkage Figure 12 until the tabs are positioned correctly 3 Pull the speed control lever back to neutral Check that the neutral safety switch actuating tab has depressed the plunger of the switch so that there is about 5 16 79 cm between the tab and the switch See Figure 12 If necessary move the switch fore and aft 5 1

12. and fast positions Allow the engine to run a minimum of 15 seconds then turn the key to the Off position Close the fuel shut off valve if machine will not be used for a few days when parking inside a building or when transporting the unit Drive Lever Neutral Lock Latch Operation To lock the drive levers in neutral lock squeeze the drive levers back to the neutral position See Figure 6 a Do Not squeeze the drive levers all the way back as this will cause the drive wheels to go into full reverse direction Place thumbs on the inner thumb lobe of the neutral lock latches and rotate them to the neutral lock position See Figure 6 b Release drive levers CAUTION POTENTIAL HAZARD Ifthe neutral lock latches are not completely engaged the drive levers could unexpectedly slip into the forward drive position WHAT CAN HAPPEN lf the drive levers slip into the drive position the unit could lurch forward and cause injury or property damage HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD Be sure the drive levers are past the roller and securely seated at the bottom of the neutral lock latches To place the drive levers in the forward position slightly squeeze the drive levers while placing thumbs on the outer thumb lobe of the neutral lock latches or the index finger on the inner lobe and rotate them from under the drive levers Slowly and carefully release the drive levers See Figure 6 d To place the driv

20. under normal conditions You must properly service and maintain your Exmark product as described in the operator s manual Such routine maintenance whether performed by a dealer or by you is at your expense As acondition to this warranty customer shall have read the operator s manual and shall have completed and submitted to Exmark Warranty Company within the prescribed time the Exmark warranty registration General Conditions The sole liability of Exmark and Exmark Warranty Company with respect to this warranty shall be repair and replacement as set forth herein Neither Exmark nor Exmark Warranty Company shall have any liability for any other cost loss or damage including but not limited to any incidental or consequential loss or damage In particular we shall have no liability or responsibility for Expenses related to gasoline oil or lubricants Travel time overtime after hours time or other extraordinary repair charges or charge relating to repairs or replacements outside of normal business hours at the place of business of the authorized Exmark service dealer Rental of like or similar replacement equipment during the period of any warranty repair or replacement work Any telephone or telegram charges or travel charges Loss or damage to person or property other than that covered by the terms of this warranty Any claims for lost revenue lost profit or additional cost as a result of a claim of breach

64. r hydraulic jacks could be dangerous The mechanical or hydraulic jacks may not be enough support or may malfunction allowing the unit to fall which could cause injury DO NOT rely solely on mechanical or hydraulic jacks for support Use adequate jack stands or equivalent support Disengage PTO Stop engine and wait for all moving parts to stop Remove ignition key or spark plug wire s Raise deck and block up using proper safety precautions Clean out any grass build up from underside of deck and in deck discharge chute Inspect blades and sharpen or replace as required blade removal is necessary be careful for the sharp cutting edges of the blades Re install the blades if they were removed and torque blade bolts to 115 120 ft lbs 156 163 N m Be sure the spring disc washer cone is installed toward the bolt head See Figure 7 CAUTION Operating a mower deck with loose or weakened blade bolts can be dangerous A loose or weakened blade bolt could allow a blade rotating at a high speed to come out from under the deck causing serious injury or property damage Replace the blade bolt after striking a foreign object Use only Exmark replacement parts PN 103 1026 blade bolt and PN 1 513208 spring disc washer DO NOT lubricate the threads of the bolt or spindle before assembly Torque the blade bolt to 115 120 ft lbs 156 163 N m Remove jack stands or equivalent support and lower
