VICTOR SERIES ALUMINUM WATER PUMPS Reverse Rotation for Small block Chevrolet V8s amp 90 V s CATALOG 8882 unpolished CATALOG 8892 polished GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE study these instructions carefully before installing your new water pump If you have any questions or problems do not hesitate to contact our Technical Hotline at 310 782 2900 e DESCRIPTION This Edelbrock aluminum water pump is a reverse rotation heavy duty water pump for both street and racing applications It is externally the same as original equipment pumps designed for the applications listed below but MUST BE USED WITH REVERSE ROTATION SERPENTINE BELT PULLEYS This pump is ideal for street rods with aftermarket serpentine belt pulleys It offers weight savings along with increased durability and cooling potential An additional feature is the threaded tab for a cam stop that can be used to pre load the front cover and limit camshaft forward thrust e APPLICATIONS 8882 is a short leg pump for 1955 68 passenger cars light duty trucks and 1969 70 Corvettes with aftermarket serpentine belt pulleys reverse rotation Polished Aluminum Water Pump 8892 fits the same applications as 8882 e ACCESSORIES Use 8830 Spacer Kit for short style pumps to clear competition camshaft gear drives and belt drives Kit includes 1 2 thick water pump and crank pulley spacers e INSTALLATION Installation is the same as for original equipment NOTE Removal o2. f backing plate is not recommend water pumps except that aftermarket reverse rotation ed as there are no user serviceable parts in the water serpentine belt pulleys MUST be used Consult ser pump If backing plate is removed use no sealer on vice manual for specific procedures if necessary O ring equipped models and use conventional gasket CAUTION Be sure that fan bolts don t protrude sealer not RTV silicone on gasketed models through the hub so far that they hit the water pump housing e SPECIFICATIONS Dimension from block surface to hub 8882 8892 5 5 8 PLEASE complete and mail your warranty card Be sure to write the model number of this product in the Part space THANK YOU 1998 Edelbrock Corp Rev 3 98
