1. appears in the display 2 Within 5 seconds press the A or V The display will show 350 F 177 C By pressing and holding the A or V the temperature can then be adjusted in 5 F increments 1 C if the control is set to display Celsius 3 Assoonasthe A or V padis released the oven will begin heating to the selected temperature When the displayed temperature reaches the desired baking temperature the preheat indicator light will turn OFF and the control will beep 3 times To change the oven temperature after bake has started 1 Press Bake Visually check the bake temperature and that it needs to be changed 2 Pressthe A or Y key pad to increase or decrease the set temperature to the desired new oven temperature SETTING OVEN CONTROLS _ The oven indicator light on the electronic display will turn ON and OFF when using the Bake feature and during preheat This is normal and indicates that the oven is cycling to maintain the selected baking temperature e When the preheat indicator light turns OFF your oven is ready e Tocancel baking at any time press Clear Off mA IMPORTANT Dark or dull pans absorb more heat than shiny bakeware resulting in dark or overbrowning of foods It may be necessary to reduce the oven temperature or cook time to prevent overbrowning of some foods Dark pansare recommended for pies Shiny pans are recommended for cakes cookies and muffins 1

The minute timer will not start or stop the cooking process It serves as an extra timer in the kitchen that will beep when the set time has run out The minute timer can be used alone or while using any of the other oven features If another feature is active when the minute timer is active the minute timer will show in the display To view information about other active features press the pad for that feature 12 Changing between continuous bake setting or 12 Hour Energy Saving feature The oven control has a built in 12 Hour Energy Saving feature that will shut off the oven if the oven is left on for more than 12 hours The oven control can be programmed to override this feature for continuous baking Changing to continuous bake setting 1 Press and hold Timer On Off key pad down for 6 seconds until a tone sounds hr will appear in display for continuous cooking The current time of day will return to the display 2 Tocancel the continuous bake setting press Timer On Off key pad and hold for 6 seconds until a tone sounds 12hr will appear in display indicating that the control has returned to the 12 Hour Energy Saving feature A IMPORTANT This feature does not change how the cooktop controls operate Setting bake The oven can be programmed to bake at any temperature from 170 F to 550 F 77 C to 287 C The factory preset automatic bake temperature is 350 F 177 C To set bake 1 Press Bake
6. door locking system Use caution and avoid possible burns when opening the door after the self cleaning cycle has completed The oven may still be VERY HOT Setting a self clean cycle 1 Press Clean appears in the display 2 Press the A or V pad once 3 00 will appear in the display indicating that a 3 hour self clean time is set To change to a 2 hour self clean time press V once 2 00 appears in the display 3 CLn will appear in the display during the self clean cycle and the Door Locked light will glow until the self cleaning cycle is complete or cancelled and the oven temperature has cooled _ As soon as the controls are set the motor driven lock _ will begin to close automatically and the Door Locked indicator light will flash DO NOT open the oven door while the light is flashing allow about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock When the self clean cycle has completed 1 The time of day will appear in the display window and the Clean and Door Locked light will continue to glow 2 Once the oven has cooled down for about 1 HOUR and the Door Locked light has turned off the oven door can be opened SELF CLEANING Stopping or interrupting a self clean cycle If it becomes necessary to stop or interrupt a self cleaning cycle once it has been activated 1 Press Clear Off 2 Once the oven has cooled down for about 1 HOUR and the LOCK light has turned off
7. frame the door liner outside the oven door gasket and the small area at the front center of the oven bottom These areas heat sufficiently to burn soil on Clean with soap and water These areas are shown in white See Fig 1 16 The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the fumes given off during the self cleaning cycle of any range Move birds to another well ventilated room DO NOT force the oven door open This can damage the automatic door locking system Use caution when opening the door after the self cleaning cycle is complete The oven may still be VERY HOT CAUTION The oven bake and broil elements may appear to have cooled after they have been turned OFF The elements may still be hot and burns may occur if these elements are touched before they have cooled sufficiently IMPORTANT _ For models that have a visible lower bake element _ ONLY This bake element was designed to be tilted up _ using your hand from the front of the bake element for _cleaning purposes Remove the bottom oven rack before _ raising the element Do not to raise the element more _than 4 or 5 inches from the resting position Setting a self clean cycle CAUTION To avoid possible burns use care when opening the oven door after the self cleaning cycle Stand to the side of the oven when opening the door to allow hot air or steam to escape O NOT force the oven door open This can damage the automatic
8. or sitting on the door or drawers of a range can result in serious injuries and also cause damage to the appliance DO NOT allow children to climb or play around the range The weight of a child on an open oven door may cause the range to tip resulting in serious burns or other injury Never use your appliance for warming or heating the room Do not use the oven warmer drawer or lower _ oven if equipped for storage Save these instructions for future reference IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRU C WARNING e Storage in or on appliance flammable materials should not be stored in an oven warmer drawer near surface units or in the storage drawer This includes paper plastic and cloth items such as cookbooks plasticware and towels as well as flammable liquids Do not store explosives such as aerosol cans on or near the range DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE children should not be left alone or unattended in the area where appliance is in use They should never be allowed to sit or stand on any part of the appliance including the storage drawer lower broiler drawer warmer drawer or lower double oven Do not store items of interest to children in the _ cabinets above a range or on the backguard of the range Children climbing on the range to reach items could be seriously injured Do not touch surface heating units or surface cooking elements areas near these units or elements or interior surface of the oven Both
9. surface heating and oven heating elements may be hot even though they are dark in color Areas near surface cooking units may become hot enough to cause burns During and after use do not touch or let clothing or other flammable materials touch these areas until they have had sufficient time to cool Among these areas are the cook top surfaces facing the cook top the oven vent openings and surfaces near these openings oven door and oven door window i I e Wear proper apparel loose fitting or hanging garments should never be worn while using the appliance Do not let clothing or other flammable materials contact hot surfaces mA IMPORTANT o not attempt to operate the range during a power failure If the power fails always turn off the range If the range is not turned off and the power resumes the range will begin to operate again Once the power resumes reset the clock and oven function 4 e Do not use water or flour on grease fires smother the fire with a pan lid or use baking soda adry chemical or foam type extinguisher e When heating fat or grease watch it closely Fat or grease may catch fire if allowed to become too hot e Use dry potholders moist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may result in burns from steam Do not let potholders touch hot heating elements Do not use a towel or other bulky cloth instead of a potholder e Do not heat
10. 3 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Setting broil Use the broil feature to cook meats that require direct exposure to radiant heat for optimum browning results When broiling always remember to arrange the oven racks while oven is still cool Position the rack as suggested in the broil settings table See Figs 1 amp 3 Insert To set Broil 1 Arrange the oven rack while oven is still cool 2 Press Broil will appear in display 3 Pressandholdthe A or V until the desired broil See Brgil pan Fig 2 setting level appears in the display Press the A for HI Fig 1 broil or the Y for LO broil Most foods may be broiled at the HI broil setting Select the LO broil setting to avoid excess browning or drying of foods that should be cooked to the well done stage A WARNING 4 Foroptimum results preheat oven for 5 minutes AM before adding food Should an oven fire occur close the oven door and turn 5 Place the insert on the broil pan if equipped then the oven OFF If the fire continues use a fire place the food on the broil pan insert if equipped extinguisher DO NOT put water or flour on the fire Flour 6 Place the broiler pan and insert on the oven rack See may be explosive Figs 1 amp 2 i 7 Open the oven door to the broil stop position when CAUTION oooO broiling l l l 1N a I o I a food on other side grease to drain and be kept away from the high heat of 9 When broiling is finished press Clear Off the broil

Allow about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock Once the oven door is locked the current time of day will appear in the display 2 To cancel the lockout feature press Clear Off and hold for 3 seconds The control will unlock the oven door and resume normal operation D NOTES DO NOT open the oven door while the indicator light is flashing Allow about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock Once the oven door is locked the current time of day will appear in the display If any control pad is pressed with the oven lockout feature active Loc will appear in the display until the control pad is released Operating oven light some models The interior oven light will automatically turn ON when the oven door is opened Press the oven light switch located on the upper left control panel to turn the interior oven light ON and OFF whenever the oven door is closed The interior oven light is located at the upper left rear wall of the oven interior and is covered with a glass shield held by a wire holder The glass shield must be in place whenever the oven is in use To change the interior oven light see Changing the oven light in the Care amp Cleaning section oven light switch 15 SELF CLEANING Self Cleaning CAUTION During the self cleaning cycle the outside of the range can become very hot to the touch DO NOT leave small children unattended near the appliance Aself cleaning oven cleans itself with h

Toavoid possible injury when removing or replacing the oven door follow the instructions below carefully and always hold the oven door with both hands positioned away from the door hinge area See Fig 3 e The door is heavy For safe temporary storage lay the door flat with the inside of the door facing down To remove oven door 1 Open oven door completely horizontal with floor See Fig 1 2 Pull the door hinge locks on both left and right door hinges down from the oven frame completely towards the oven door See Fig 2 A tool such as a small flat blade screwdriver may be required 3 Firmly grasp both sides of oven door along the door sides Do not use the oven door handle See Fig 3 4 Close the door to the broil stop position the oven door will stop into this position just before fully closing 5 With the oven door in the broil stop position lift the oven door hinge arms over the roller pins located on each side of the oven frame See Fig 4 To replace oven door 1 Firmly grasp both sides of oven door along the door sides Do not use the oven door handle See Fig 3 2 Holding the oven door at the same angle as the removal position seat the hook of the hinge arm over the roller pins located on each side of the oven door frame See Fig 4 The hook of the hinge arms must be fully seated onto the roller pins 3 Fully open the oven door horizontal with floor See Fig 1 4 Push the door hinge lo
16. aluminum cooking utensils or allow aluminum foil to touch the surface elements under ANY circumstances e Aluminum utensils The melting point of aluminum is much lower than that of other metals Care must be taken when aluminum pots or pans are used on the cooktop If aluminum pans are allowed to boil dry when using the cooktop the utensil may be damaged or destroyed Replacing the oven light Be sure the range is unplugged and all parts are COOL before replacing ovenlight Wear aleather faced glove for protection against possible broken glass The glass shield and wire holder must be in place The interior oven light bulb is located on the rear wall of the oven and is covered with a glass shield held by a wire holder 20 To replace the interior oven light bulb 1 Turn electrical power off at the main source or unplug the range 2 Open oven door for access to interior oven light Once located press wire holder to one side to release the glass shield See Fig 1 3 Replace bulb with a new 40 watt appliance bulb 4 Replace glass shield over bulb and snap wire holder into place 5 Turn power back on again at the main source or plug the range back in 6 The clock will then need to be set with the correct time of day To reset see Setting the Clock in this Use amp Care Guide glass shield wire holder Fig 1 Removing and replacing the lift off oven door zZ CAUTION e

19. e sure floor is level strong amp stable enough to adequately support range If floor is sagging or sloping contact a carpenter to correct the situation Poor installation Place oven rack in center of oven Place a level on the oven rack Adjust leveling legs at base of appliance until the rack is level Kitchen cabinet alignment may make range appear not level Be sure cabinets are square amp have sufficient room for appliance clearance Cabinets not square or are built in too tightly Contact builder or installer to make appliance accessible Carpet interferes with appliance Provide sufficient space so appliance can be lifted over carpet Incorrect control setting Be sure the correct control is ON for the element that you are attempting to use or heavyweight cookware Flat pans heat better than warped pans Cookware materials and weight of the material affect heating Heavy amp medium weight pans heat evenly Because lightweight pans heat unevenly foods may burn easily The time of day is not set The time of day must first be set in order to operate the oven See Setting the clock in the Setting Oven Controls section Make sure cord plug is plugged correctly into outlet Service wiring is not complete Contact your dealer installing agent or authorized service agent Electrical power outage Check house lights to be sure Call your local electric company for service Be sure the oven controls are set properly
20. eat the broil element for searing Meat not properly prepared Remove excess fat from meat Cut remaining fatty edges to prevent curling but do not cut into lean Broiler pan and insert wrong side up and grease not draining Always place insert on the broiler pan with ribs up amp slots down to allow grease to drip into pan some models Grease has built up on oven surfaces Regular cleaning is necessary when broiling frequently Old grease or food spatters cause excessive smoking Excessive spillovers in oven For example this will happen for pie spillovers or large amounts of grease left on the oven bottom Wipe up excessive spillovers before starting oven If flames or excessive smoke are present see Broiling in the Setting Oven Controls section clear the display amp stop beeping Try the bake or broil feature again If the F code error repeats remove power from appliance wait 5 minutes and then repower appliance and set clock for the time of day Try the bake or broil feature again If the fault recurs record fault and call for service Foods with acids such as tomatoes if allowed to stand in on bowls will cause corrosion Remove and wash drip bowls as soon as possible after a spill over Normal environment Houses located along sea coasts are exposed to salt air Protect bowls as much as possible from direct exposure to salt air Bottom surface of cookware extends beyond surface element and touches cooktop surface

22. est on the rim inside the drip bowl If your drip bowl is equipped with a hold down clip align the element support opposite the terminal end with the slot in the hold down clip and snap into place 3 After the element is positioned in the drip bowl line up the termina end with the terminal plug as shown 4 Hold the surface element and drip bowl together as level as possible and firmly push the terminal end into the terminal plug Make sure element terminal is seated properly into terminal plug Make sure the surface element is level to reduce the hazard of pans sliding off theelement CAUTION e When lowering the lift up range cooktop grasp the sides with finger tips only Be careful not to pinch fingers DO NOT drop or bend the range cooktop when raising or lowering This could damage the cooktop surface Main top Fig 2 To raise the cooktop for cleaning 1 Grasp the sides and lift from the front See Fig 2 Lift up rods will support the top in a raised position Only lift the top far enough to allow the support rods to snap into place 2 Clean underneath using aclean cloth and hot soapy water 3 Tolower the top gently push back on each rod to release the notched support Hold the range top and slide the lift rods down into the range frame 19 CARE amp CLEANING Caution for aluminum use on the cooktop e Aluminum Foil Use of aluminum foil on a hot cooktop can damage the cooktop Do not use thin
