Monitors Kundendienst in M nchen oder an Ihren lokalen Repr sentanten Kleinere Wartungsarbeiten wie den Batteriewechsel oder Austausch der Generatorzelle k nnen Sie selbst vornehmen Beachten Sie bitte dazu folgende Hinweise F hren Sie die Arbeiten m glichst auf einer leitf higen geerdeten Arbeitsmatte aus Tragen sie m glichst ein leitf higes Masseband Armband verbunden mit der Arbeitsmatte 2 1 Batteriewechsel Leuchtet die rote LED am Gasgenerator auf mu die Batterie gewechselt werden Interne Stromversorgung 9V Block Batterie L sen Sie die vier Schrauben an der R ckseite des Ger tes Wenden Sie das Ger t und heben Sie das Ger tevorderteil vorsichtig ab Entfernen sie die alte Batterie aus der Halterung Setzen Sie die neue Batterie ein Setzen Sie das Ger tevorderteil wieder auf und schrauben Sie es fest Externe Stromversorgung Batteriebeh lter nur bei COCh 1 Entfernen Sie die Steckverbindung zum Gasgenerator und l sen Sie die vier Schrauben an der R ckseite des Batteriebeh lters 2 ffnen Sie den Beh lter und entnehmen Sie die alten Batterien 3 Setzen Sie einen neuen Batteriesatz 4 x 1 5 V Mono Zellen wir empfehlen Varta High Energy Alkaline oder Duracell Ultra M3 ein und schrauben Sie den Beh lter wieder zu nk WN 2 2 Austausch der Generatorzelle Die Lebensdauer der Generatorzelle betragt ca ein Jahr bzw 2 500 Tests Danach sollte sie ausgetauscht werden Die Gener2. Nach sp testens 10 Sekunden mu der Detektor in den Alarmzustand gehen 3 Operating Instructions 3 1 Principle of Operation The Compur gas generator is a device to check the proper function of gas detectors The instrument contains a gas specific generator cell Depending on the type of gas the generator will produce either electrochemically or thermally a gas concentration above the TLV level The response of a gas detector can be checked with the small gas concentration produced by the gas generator However since the gas generator does not produce a certifiable known gas concentration it is not suitable for detector calibration 3 2 How To Run a Gas Test e Insert the sensor of the gas detector into the adapter of the gas generator e When the detector is pressed down the generation of gas starts automatically If you want to test the Compur Monitors gas detectors Monitox plus or Dositox please use the switch pin extension included with the generator Compur gas detectors Monitox S SD and Minitox are tested without extension If you want to check gas detectors of other manufacturers please check whether it works with or without the switch pin extension e The gas generator will produce gas for a period of 10 seconds During gas generation the green LED will turn on If the red LED illuminates the battery needs replacement Note Tf the generator cell is exposed to low humidity it may dry out Therefore please cover t
5. atorzelle sollte auch in jedem Fall getauscht werden wenn ein nachweislich intakter Gasdetektor beim Funktionstest nicht mehr anspricht 2 2 1 H S und HCN Generator siehe Abbildung 1 1 L sen Sie die vier Schrauben an der R ckseite des Ger tes und heben Sie das Ger tevorderteil ab 2 Entnehmen Sie die Batterie 3 L ten Sie die zwei Anschl sse der alten Generatorzelle ab und ziehen Sie den Schlauch von der Pumpe ab 4 L sen Sie die vier Befestigungsschrauben der Leiterplatte und entnehmen Sie die Leiterplatte 5 L sen Sie die drei Befestigungsschrauben der Generatorzelle und ziehen Sie diese nach vorne heraus Nehmen Sie die neue Generatorzelle aus der Verpackung und befestigen Sie die neue Generatorzelle mit den Befestigungsschrauben 6 Bauen Sie die Leiterplatte wieder ein und schrauben Sie sie fest Bitte achten Sie darauf dass der Schaltstift den Schalter auf der Leiterplatte sicher bet tigt 7 Schlie en Sie die Batterie wieder an und legen Sie sie in das daf r vorgesehene Fach ein 8 F hren Sie gegebenenfalls einen Abgleich des Generatorstroms durch Amperometer an Pin 4 mittlerer Pin und Pin 7 linker Pin anschlie en Schalter S101 dr cken und gleichzeitig mit Poti R114 den Generatorstrom einstellen H2S 3 5 mA HCN 100 ppm 0 7 mA HCN 20 ppm 0 35 mA 9 L ten Sie die Kabel der Generatorzelle fest schwarzes Kabel an Pin 4 mittlerer Pin gelbes Kabel an Pin 7 linker Pin und stecken Sie den Schlauch a
6. ber dem MAK Wert liegende Gaskonzentration erzeugt Mit dem erzeugten Gas wird der Gasdetektor auf sicheres Ansprechen getestet Der Gasgenerator ist nicht geeignet ein Pr fgas definierter Konzentration zu erzeugen Er dient also nicht zur Kalibration eines Detektors 1 2 Testablauf e Zum Testen wird der Gasdetektor mit dem Sensor auf den Adapter des Gasgenerators aufgesetzt e Beim Herunterdr cken wird automatisch der Gasgenerator angeschaltet und erzeugt nun das Testgas Zum Testen der Compur Gasdetektoren Monitox plus bzw Dositox ist bei jedem Gasgenerator ein Verl ngerungsst ck f r den Schaltstift aufgesteckt Monitox S SD und Minitox Detektoren werden ohne Verl ngerungsst ck getestet Bei Fremdfabrikaten ist jeweils zu pr fen welcher Stift am besten passt e Der Gasgenerator erzeugt 10 Sekunden lang Gas Dabei leuchtet die gr ne LED auf Leuchtet die rote LED mu die Batterie des Gasgenerators gewechselt werden Hinweis Die Generatorzelle kann bei geringer Luftfeuchtigkeit austrocknen Verschlie en Sie deshalb den Generator mit der mitgelieferten Feuchthaltekappe Achten Sie darauf dass der Schwamm in der Kappe stets feucht aber nicht na gehalten wird Der Compur Gasgenerator darf nicht im explosionsgef hrdeten Bereich benutzt oder abgestellt werden MAK Maximale Arbeitsplatzkonzentration 2 Wartung Sollte eine St rung an Ihrem Gasgenerator auftreten so wenden Sie sich bitte an den Compur
7. e the housing of the generator and tighten the 4 screws in the back nk WN SI Note Whenever you have done maintenance work on a gas generator test the function with a working gas detector The detector should give an alarm within 10 seconds 11 4 2 2 CO Cl and NO Generator see Picture 2 The CO Cl and NO generator cells contain an internal fan When replacing please proceed as follows 1 Loosen the 4 screws on the backside of the instrument and seperate the two halves Use caution as the LED s are attached to the top case Remove the battery Unsolder the 3 wires from the old generator cell Unscrew the 4 screws securing the PCB and remove the PCB Unscrew the 3 screws of the generator cell which secure it to the bottom case and remove the old generator cell Insert the new generator cell and tighten the 3 screws 6 Reinsert the PCB and tighten the screws Please make sure that the switch pin has not moved and that it easily activates the switch on the PCB 7 Reconnect the battery 8 If required readjust the generator current to the following specifications Connect current meter to PCB pin 4 center pin and pin 7 left pin Press switch S101 and adjust generator current with potentiometer R114 to the applicable current CO 13 mA Ch 0 3 mA NO 5 mA 9 Solder the wires of the generator cell and the fan to the PCB pins black cable to pin 4 center pin yellow cable to pin 7 left pin red cable

13. ttery LED during a gas test 10 4 2 Generator Cell Replacement The generator cell has an approximate life time of 1 year or 2 500 tests After this time it needs replacement It also needs replacement if a gas detector known to be good does not respond to a gas test 4 2 1 H S and HCN Generator see Picture 1 1 Loosen the 4 screws on the backside of the instrument and separate the two halves Use caution as the LED s are attached to the top case Remove the battery Unsolder the 2 wires from the old generator cell and remove the tubing from the pump Unsrew the 4 screws securing the PCB and remove the PCB Unscrew the 3 screws of the generator cell which secure it to the bottom case and remove the old generator cell Insert the new generator cell and tighten the 3 screws 6 Reinsert the PCB and tighten the screws Please make sure that the switch pin has not moved and that it easily activates the switch on the PCB Reconnect the battery 8 Ifrequired adjust the generator current to the following specifications Connect current meter to PCB pin 4 center pin and pin 7 left pin Press switch S101 and adjust generator current with potentiometer R114 to the applicable current H2S 3 5 mA HCN 100 ppm 0 7 mA HCN 20 ppm 0 35 mA 9 Solder the wires of the generator cell to the PCB pins black cable to pin 4 center pin yellow cable to pin 7 left pin Connect the tubing to the pump port marked out 10 Clos
