L1 to observe 12 Load 2 4 Unoccupied Mode Input 7H748ELE only TH148ELE has an input that can be used to lower the temperature when the house is a Un Un unoccupied You can connect an Aube s S 8 8 CT240 telephone controller optional or another remote control system N When the thermostat receives a 12 VDC sig ne A B C nal it switches to the unoccupied mode where 12V sen the setpoint programmed for that mode is NOTE No polarity used see section 4 When the signal is ig observe removed the thermostat returns to the previ ous mode 2 5 Installing the Batteries Right after the batteries are installed the thermostat performs a series of tests for approximately 5 seconds 2 6 Completing the Installation 400 147 017 C 2008 01 08 1 2 Operation 3 1 Backlight The display illuminates for 12 seconds when the backlight button or any other button is pressed 3 2 Displaying the Temperature The actual measured temperature is normally displayed To view the setpoint temperature press once on either of the buttons The setpoint along with the icon will be displayed for the next 5 seconds 3 3 Setting the Temperature Press one of the buttons until the desired temperature is dis played 3 4 Unoccupied

Mode 7H748ELE only To place the thermostat in unoccupied mode see section 2 4 When the thermostat is in this mode the unoccupied mode setpoint is used see section 4 and the icon is displayed Temporary Bypass If you modify the setpoint temperature when the thermostat is in unoccupied mode the new setpoint will be used for the next 2 hours Afterwards the thermostat will return to the unoccupied mode setpoint The d icon flashes during the bypass 3 5 Low battery Indicator An icon appears when the batteries need replacement This icon will flash for 60 days afterwards the thermo wa stat will cut power to the heating system The icon dis appears once the batteries are replaced Note The setpoint temperature is unaffected when the batteries are removed from the thermostat Configuration Press the backlight button until the configuration menu appears 3 seconds To go to the next parameter menu item press the backlight but ton 1 second To modify a parameter press 0 4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 if necessary Toend press the backlight button until the configuration menu disappears 3 seconds DESCRIPTION DEFAULT SELECTIONS Pump protection Off On or Off Unoccupied mode temperature 2 10 C 5C to 28 C TH148ELE only Number of cycles per hour 4 2 3 4 5 0r6 1 When pump protection is On the thermostat will activate the heating sys tem for 15 seconds if it has not been activate
