3. ery should be fully discharged and recharged at least once a month Ni MH batteries should be recyled or disposed of in an enviromentally friendly way as prescribed by your local regulations Dual charge internal battery 1 Adapter charging To charge the radio using the adapter first plug the AC DC 4 5V 200mA adapter into the wall Connect the other end of the adapter to the DC IN socket located on the radio After approximately 8 hours the unit will be fully charged Important Note For proper operation the AC DC adapter charger must meet the speci fications described Please don t use AC DC adapter rated higher than 200 milliamps Please make sure to remove any AA batteries from battery compartentment when charging with AC DC adapter 2 Wind up operation Make sure Dynamo Adapter power source is selected To operate hold the unit firmly and crank the winder handle The winder handle can be cranked in any direction Make sure to crank with at least 2 revolutions per second 120 rev min to generate power The unit is equipped with an LED charge level indicator which signals when the opti mum charge level is reached Cranking the handle drives the internal alternator by transmitting hand powered energy which is stored in the internal battery Radio operation 1 To turn on turn the VOL control to the on position Power Indicator will light up 2 Slide the Band Selector switch to the FM AM or WEATHER position 3 Adjust th
