14. before inserting them into the scanner Staples and paper clips can jam the feed mechanism and scratch the internal components Do not scan any document with wet correction fluid labels stickers or Post It notes on the pages The correction fluid or glue from the stickers can leave residue on the lens that is difficult to clean The residue also causes lines to occur in the scanned images If a label sticker or Post It note comes off during the scanning process the item can get stuck in the scanner and this will void your scanner s warranty SCAN USING AUTOLAUNCH When you insert an item into the scanner it is automatically scanned and the image is sent to a software application on your computer To scan using AutoLaunch 1 Align a document with the Paper Guides and insert it face down into the paper feed slot The scanner grabs the top edge of the paper and automatically begins to scan and feed the paper through the scanner SCAN USING AUTOLAUNCH 23 2 A scan progress window will open and the image is sent to the selected application from the OneTouch utility In the following example the destination software is the PaperPort desktop The item is scanned using predefined settings from the OneTouch software To change OneTouch settings see Selecting New OneTouch Scan Settings on page 34 CHECK THE SCAN SETTINGS BEFORE SCANNING WITH AUTOLAUNCH Press the button on the top of the scanner

A CONFIGURE BEFORE SCAN To cancel a scan after scanning has begun 1 Click on the Cancel button in the scanning progress window Scanning page 1 Visioneer Inc All rights reserved The following window will open asking you if you want to cancel the entire job Do you want to cancel the entire job m Yes scanning stops and all the pages scanned in this batch up to this point will be deleted The TWAIN interface will close and you can restart your scan from the beginning Choose Yes if the TWAIN scan settings are incorrect for your current scanning batch 68 VISIONEER ROADWARRIOR SCANNER USER S GUIDE For instance if the Scanning Mode is Black amp White but your documents are in color choose Yes to delete any scanned pages then select the correct Scanning Mode and restart the scanning No scanning stops but all pages scanned in this batch up to this point are not deleted You can place a new page in the scanner adjust the TWAIN settings for the new page then click on the Scan button in the TWAIN interface to continue scanning At the end of the scanning batch all pages from the first portion of the scan and second will be sent to the Destination Application Choose this option if for instance you have been scanning a black amp white document but you want to insert a color page into the document and did not change the Scanning Mode prior to clicking on the Scan button Instead of havin
