4. 7 2 Clean the air filter Run a vacuum cleaner lightly over the surface of the air filter to remove dirt If the air filter is exceptionally dirty wash it with warm water and a mild cleanser and dry thoroughly see Fig 8 3 Attach the air filter Insert the lower tabs of the air filter into the main unit and press the air filter in place until you hear the tabs click into place see Fig 9 Fig 8 Fig 9 Storing the Dehumidifier Properly store the unit when it is not being used for an extended period of time 1 Fold up the power supply cord and secure it to the holder 2 Discard any water left in the drainage tank and wipe away any remaining water with a cloth 3 Clean the air filter 4 Store the unit upright in its original packaging to keep it free of dust Store in a cool and dry place 11 customer service TROUBLESHOOTING If a condition listed below occurs please check the flowing items before calling The unit does not operate The dehumidifying function does not work No air is discharged Operation is noisy Has the power cord been disconnected Is the tank full indicator lamp blinking The tank is full or ina wrong position IS the temperature of the room above 95 F or below 36 F Is the air filter clogged Is the intake duct or discharge duct obstructed Is the air filter clogged Is the unit tilted or unsteady Is the air filter clogged 12 Plug the power cord into
5. e When the indoor temperature is below 59 F or above 95 F the protection device is activated The unit can only operate in HIGH power and the POWER LEVEL button is ineffective 4 Stop operation e Press the POWER button to stop dehumidification e Never stop the unit by unplugging the power cord DRAINING THE COLLECTED WATER When the drainage tank is full the tank full indicator light will turn on to alert the user and operation will stop automatically The water then needs to be emptied from the drainage tank Emptying the Drainage Tank Discard water from this point 1 Lightly press on the sides of 2 Grasp the handle and pull out 3 Discard the collected water the tank with both hands and the tank completely out pull out gently NOTE 1 Do not remove the styrofoam packing from the float on the unit The float on the unit will no longer be able to detect the water level correctly without the styrofoam packing and water may leak from the water tank This can cause electrical shock and or short circuits See Fig 1 2 If the drainage tank is dirty wash it with cold or lukewarm water Do not use detergent scouring pads chemically treated dust cloths gasoline benzene thinner or other solvents as these can scratch and damage the tank and cause water leakage 3 When replacing the drainage tank press the tank firmly into place with both hands see Fig 2 If the tank is not positioned properly the TANK F

ULL sensor will be activated and the dehumidifier will not operate Check to make sure the guards are firmly attached to the tank If they are not the drainage tank will be more difficult to remove see Fig 3 4 lf the drainage tank is removed while the unit is in operation or immediately after operation has stopped water that is still in the cooling unit may drip out on the base plate Wait at least 30 minutes before removing the drainage tank If water has dripped wipe it up Fig 3 Continuous Water Drainage The unit features a continuous drainage port Using a commercial hose with an inner diameter of 15 mm the water in the drainage tank can be continuously drained out of the continuous port on the unit NOTE When setting up the equipment for continuous drainage always stop operation first and unplug the power supply plug 1 Remove the drainage tank and open the continuous drainage port Use snipers or a similar tool to cut away the continuous drainage cap in the side of the main unit see Fig 4 2 Push the hose into the continuous drainage port Pass the hose through the continuous drainage port and press it firmly onto the drainage port in the main unit The average height of drain hose should always be lower than the drainage port Drain piping should always be kept clean and clear of blockage so the condensed water can be drained out successfully See Fig 5 3 Replace the drainage tank to its original positi

10. on Check the hose periodically to make sure it is still connected and has not been obstructed see Fig 6 4 The drain hose must always maintain a downhill grade to make sure that collected water can be drained out with the force of gravity Fig 6 Moving the Dehumidifier 1 Drain the water 2 Lift up the handle and tilt the unit back 3 Move the unit by rolling on the back casters NOTE 1 If the floor is made of a material that scratches easily or if the floor is uneven lift the unit off the floor and move it Avoid rolling the unit if the floor has shag carpeting This can damage the surface of the carpet 2 Tilt it within range of 20 to 30 degrees If you tilt the unit too far you may scratch the floor or water may leak 3 Be careful that the power supply cord does not get pinched under the unit Clearance Maintain the minimum clearance around the dehumidifier when the unit is operating as shown in the figure at right At least 8 At least 8 At least 8 10 MAINTENANCE Cleaning the Dehumidifier e To Clean the Body Wipe it with a soft damp cloth Gasoline benzene thinners scouring powder chemically treated dust cloths and detergents may damage the main unit and should not be used e To Clean the Air Filter NOTE The air filter should be cleaned approximately once every two weeks 1 Remove the air filter Press downward on the tabs on the air filter to remove it See Fig
11. r electrical current This dehumidifier is equipped with a cord having an equipment grounding conductor and 3 prong grounded plug The plug must be connected into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in the accordance with all local codes and ordinances Do not modify the plug provided with the dehumidifier If it will no fit the outlet have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician If the household electrical supply does not meet specifications or if you are not sure your home has an effective ground have a qualified electrician or your local electrical utility company check it and correct any problems e All wiring must comply with local and national electrical codes and be installed by a qualified electrician If you have any questions regarding the following instructions contact a qualified electrician e Check available power supply and resolve any wiring problems BEFORE installation and operation of this unit e For your safety and protection this unit is grounded through the power cord plug when plugged into a matching wall outlet If you are not sure whether the wall outlets in your home are properly grounded please consult a qualified electrician DO NOT USE PLUG ADAPTERS OR EXTENSION CORDS e The manufactures nameplate is located on the rear technical data specific to this unit e To avoid the possibility of personal injury always disconnect the power supply to the unit before installing and or servicing
12. s Power Button Press the button once to start operation press it again to stop operation GD Power Level Button Each time the button is pressed the power level changes in the order of Med High or Quiet e D Humidity Level Button Press to set the desired humidity level in the room which can be set in the order of 50 60 70 and continuous When the relative humidity of the room is lower then the selected humidity operation will stop automatically When the unit is turned on the default operation mode is the continuous mode In this mode operation will continue until the unit is turned off or will stop automatically when the drainage tank is full OPERATION 1 Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet e After the power cord is plugged into an outlet the power light will turn on e The fan will continuously run even if the compressor shuts off 2 Open the louver manually e Before operation starts please check and make sure the louver has been opened If the louver is closed the unit may overheat e Set the louver to the preferred angle from the 6 options When the indoor temperature is above 91 F set the louver to the maximum opening 3 Button operation modes e Press the POWER button once The unit will operate in continuous mode automatically Press the HUMIDITY LEVEL button to select a room humidity level of 50 60 or 70 e Power Level Press POWER LEVEL button to choose the desired power level
