5. ator is frozen Is the TIMER ON enabled The batteries are inserted incorrectly The batteries may be dead e Clean the filter See the Cleaning and Care Section of the manual Make sure the air conditioner plug is pushed completely into the out let Check the house fuse circuit breaker box and replace the fuse or reset the breaker The unit will automatically re start when power is restored There is a protective time delay approx 3 minutes to prevent tripping of the compressor overload For this reason the unit may not start normal cooling for 3 minutes after it is turned back on Press the RESET button located on the power cord plug If the RESET button will not stay engaged discontinue use of the air conditioner and contact a qualified service technician Make sure there are no curtains blinds or furniture blocking the front of the air conditioner Lower the set thermostat tempera ture Please allow time for the room to cool down after turning on the air conditioner Check for open furnace registers and cold air returns The unit is defrosting and will re sume operation when done Cancel the TIMER or wait until the unit turns on Check the position of the batteries Replace the batteries 9995 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES SOLUTIONS The LCD Display is showing E5 Low Voltage Protection Unplug for 10 minutes and then turn on the unit If E5

7. ed electrical outlet and a suitable window or door Remove packaging and locate components figure a Slide the exhaust connector over the discharge opening on the back of the unit figure b Connect the exhaust hose to the exhaust connector aligning the fitted grove figure c Open the window or door and adjust the length of the window kit to fit the opening figure d If necessary mark the kit and cut one end down to properly fit the opening figures e amp f Attach the window kit adapter to the window kit figure g Place the window kit back into the window and attach the exhaust hose to the window kit adapter figures h amp i Close the window tightly figure j Your Portable Air Conditioner is now ready to cool NOTE When using the venting system keep the exhaust hose as straight as possible The exhaust hose can be shortened but it is not recommended to increase the length of the exhaust hose Do not use an extension cord with your portable air conditioner This installation is OK The 1s a poor installation When installing the exhaust hose try and keep it as flat as possible The less angles and bends in the hose the better the unit will perform If bending or an angle is necessary use single 90 angles like the pictures above Multiple bends will decrease performance and efficiency CONTROL PANEL GH PAC 12E1 COOL MODE LIGHT DRY MODE LIGHT LED DISPLAY BUCKET FULL LIGHT FA

11. old and new or different type of batteries 5 When the remote control in Off mode pressing the Mode and buttons simultaneously can shift between C amp F 6 Press amp button simultaneously can lock or unlock the keyboard on the remote 7 Do not recharge or dipose battery in fire 8 Do not mix or connect the battery improperly 11 REMOTE CONTROL OPER ATING INSTRUCTIONS REMOTE CONTROL UREO SLEEP TEMP SLEEP SLEEP BUTTON e Press the SLEEP mode button to engage SLEEP mode This feature limits compressor usage and enhances energy savings by adjusting the set temperature while you areleeping Press the SLEEP button once more to disable Sleep Mode Sleep Mode is not available in Auto or Fan Modes In Cooling or Dehumidifier DRY modes When sleep mode is selected the set temperature will automatically increase 2 after 1 hour After 2 hours the set tempera ture will increase another 2F for a total increase of 4 F Heating mode GH PAC 12E1HP only When sleep modeis selected the set temperature will automatically increase 2F after 1 hour After 2 hours the set tem perature will decrease another for a total decreaseof 4 F Blow Blow Press the blow button to enable the blow function When enable blow will force the fan to remain on once the unit is powered down The fan stays on to dry out any remaining moisture in the
12. on GH PAC 12E1HP will light up 1f this occurs The unit will then beep 8 times and the LED display will show H8 The compressor will now shut off You should now drain the excess water from the unit To do this get a small pan and place it under the drain plug on the bottom of the back of the unit Remove the plug and slightly tilt the unit backwards to drain the water into the pan eee REMOTE CONTROL OPER ATING INSTRUCTIONS BUTTONS SIGNAL TRANSMITTER When the unit is in Air Conditioner or Heater GH PAC 12E1HP mode you can select your desired temperature Press the TEMP SELECT buttons or to select your desired temperature setting The temperature on the LCD display on the remote control will increase or de crease accordingly Hold the buttons for two seconds to rapidly increase or decease the temperature Temp range is 61 F 86 F FAN FAN BUTTON Press the Fan Speed button to change fan speeds Fan Speeds Auto alii Low Speed Medium Speed REMOTE CONTROL High Speed NOTE When the unit is in Dehumidifier DRY mode TIMER the fan speed is not adjustable SWING BUTTON ON OFF Press the Up Down Swing Button to turn and off the vertical swing mode In vertical swing mode the lou Press the ON OFF POWER button once to manually vers will rotate up and down to circulate more air
13. st Hose Exhaust Hose Adapter Adapter Window Kit Adapter ASSEMBLY amp INSTALLATION INSTALLATION When the unit is operating as an air conditioner or dehumidifier the window kit and exhaust hose must be installed When the unit is operating in fan mode the window kit and exhaust hose do not need to be installed MOUNTING THE EXHAUST HOSE e Choose a suitable location near a grounded electrical outlet and suitable window or door Remove packaging and locate components e Extend both ends of the exhaust hose approximately 6 inches e Screw the REAR and FRONT Exhaust Hose Adapters onto each end of the exhaust hose Once both adapters are attached attach the Window Kit Adapter to the REAR Exhaust Hose Adapter e Connect the FRONT Exhaust Hose Adapter to the back of your portable air conditioner e Attach the Window Kit Adapter to the window kit e For maximum efficiency bend the exhaust hose as little as possible once installation is complete SINGLE HOSE WINDOW KIT INSTALLATION Installation of the Venting Kit FOR SINGLE HOSE PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONERS 1 The venting kit must be installed in order for the unit to work correctly in the air conditioning mode The venting kit should not be used while the unit is heating or fanning The window kit has been designed to fit into most vertical and horizontal window openings The window kit can also be used in a sliding door Choose a suitable location near a ground
