BRIGHT or VOLUME Indicator These indicators appear during playback The BRIGHT indicator appears when you adjust the brightness of the monitor with the bright control also menu PUSH dial The VOLUME indicator appears when you adjust the volume of the speaker with the VOL control also zoom lever Dew Warning 4 The dew indicator appears when exces sive moisture condensation has entered the camcorder The camcorder will not operate when this indicator appears Place the camcorder in a warm dry area until this indicator disappears Exposure Indicators 03 This indicator appears when you are adjusting brightness manually using the 30 EXPOSURE menu Make sure the POWER switch is set to CAMERA MAN Details are on pages 40 41 Fade and Wipe Indicators Bx FADER Press the FADES button to display the indicator for the fade or wipe you want to select Bx FADER appears for black fade m MOSAIC appears for mosaic fade DOOR appears for door wipe SCROLL wipe appears for scroll wipe Details are on pages 42 43 Focus Indicators These indicators appear when you are adjusting focus manually using the FOCUS menu Make sure the POWER switch is set to CAMERA MAN when the auto focus system cannot operate properly Recording LCD Monitor and Viewfinder Displays continued e A X appear when you have selected MENU in the FOCUS menu

Battery Compartment Cover gt 1 Remove battery compartment cover Notes Replace the battery when the load time 2 Install supplied AA battery so becomes much longer than normal positive and negative ends Remove the battery from the cassette adapter align properly with and if it is not used for a month or more This prevents possible damage from battery leakage If leakage occurs wipe up the liquid 3 Replace battery compartment cover inside the compartment and replace the battery with a new one terminals in battery compartment Insert Cassette into Cassette Adapter Cassette Compartment Lid Tape Wheel A EJECT Switch 1 Before inserting the cassette into the 3 Insert the cassette with the tape adapter remove any slack in the tape window on the left and facing up by turning the tape wheel on the side of the cassette 2 Slide EJECT to the right to open the cassette compartment lid Allow the cassette to drop into the adapter Do not force the cassette 62 Playback Use the Cassette Adapter continued Load Detector 4 Gently close the cassette compartment lid until it locks into place Make sure the cassette reel area under the adapter is free to turn while the cassette is loading Note You should hear a whirring sound while the tape loads The adapter s load detector will automatically retr
