6. 7 Installing the DVD ROM The DVD ROM supplied with your ViaMichelin Navigation X 930 contains 2 programs POI Manager used to install poi or asc files on your system SD Manager to restore your SD card in the event of an error k e To make sure that files are transferred from the PC to the ViaMichelin Navigation X 930 with maximum efficiency we advise you to download and install the latest version of Microsoft s ActiveSync software e If you have a Pocket PC connected to your PC you will need to disconnect it before connecting your ViaMichelin Navigation X 930 2 1 1 Connecting Plug the USB cable mini connector into the ViaMichelin Navigation X 930 device Plug the USB connector into your PC Switch on your ViaMichelin Navigation X 930 71 2 ActiveSync You do not need to establish a partnership to transfer files e g POI from your PC to the ViaMichelin Navigation X 930 When asked if you want to establish a partnership select No then click Next Microsoft ActiveSync starts in guest mode You can now transfer POI files with POI Manager or use the SD Manager card restore software Ln nstalling the DVD ROM Connect the ViaMichelin Navigation X 930 to your PC Check that your PC s hard disk has enough free space approximately 1GB to install the ViaMichelin software Insert the DVD ROM in your PC s DVD drive Ifthe ActiveSync software is not
