3. e The black wire from the ceiling to the black wire from the fan e The black white wire from the fan to the wire for the wall switch Dual Switch Wiring ala a mic e T 4 3 Push all wires and wire nuts into the outlet box 42606 01 11 18 05 Hunter Fan Company 5 Installing the Canopy and Canopy Trim Ring Step 5 1 A WARNING Failure to complete the following steps could cause the fan to fall Note It is recommended you use a magnetic tip screwdriver for the following steps 5 1 Rotate the hanger ball so the tab in the canopy is secure in the hanger ball groove Note Your fan may have multiple tabs and grooves that must be aligned 5 2 Swing the fan up to align the canopy screw holes with the mounting holes on the ceiling plate Step 5 2 A WARNING The slots in the canopy must remain engaged while swinging the canopy for alignment 5 3 Holding the canopy up with the screw holes aligned partially install two canopy screws into the holes opposite the ceiling plate tabs 5 4 Partially install a canopy screw between the slots in the canopy When all the holes are properly aligned securely tighten all three canopy screws 5 5 Verify that the tabs in the canopy are still in the grooves of the b Seo 53 hanger ball tep 5 A m 5 6 Align the tabs on the trim ring opposite the

Both plug connectors are polarized and will only fit together one way Make sure the connectors are properly aligned before connecting them Incorrect connection could cause improper operation and damage to the product 7 11 Place the lower switch housing assembly over the upper switch housing Align the side screw holes in the upper and lower switch housings Attach the lower switch housing to the upper switch housing with three housing assembly screws If you are not installing the light fixture your installation is complete Otherwise proceed with step 7 12 7 12 Install one medium base incandescent light bulb 100 Watt maximum 7 13 Insert the globe into the fixture Install and tighten the thumbscrews manually Do not overtighten Note If thumbscrews are pre threaded loosen the screws before inserting the globe then retighten securely 42606 01 11 18 05 8 1 8 2 8 3 8 5 8 6 8 Operating and Cleaning Your Ceiling Fan Turn on electrical power to the fan The fan pull chain controls power to the fan The pull chain has four settings in sequence High Medium Low and Off e Pull the chain slowly to change settings e Release slowly to prevent the chain from recoiling into the blades e The chain uses a breakaway connector that separates if the chain is jerked If this happens simply reinsert the chain into the connector The light pull chain controls power to the light The pull chain has two sett

6. a Light Fixture Steps 7 1 7 4 Housing Assembly Screw Hunter Fan Company Upper Switch Housing Your Hunter fan comes with a switch housing assembly and an optional light fixture This feature gives you the option of installing the fan with OR without the included light fixture The steps below direct you whether or not you are installing a light fixture A WARNING Use only the light fixture supplied with this fan model 7 1 7 5 To attach the upper switch housing partially install two housing assembly screws into the switch housing mounting plate Feed the upper plug connector through the center opening of the housing Align the keyhole slots in the housing with the housing assembly SCrews Turn the housing counterclockwise until the housing assembly screws are firmly situated in the narrow end of the keyhole slots Install the remaining housing assembly screw into the housing Tighten all three screws firmly A CAUTION Make sure the upper switch housing is securely attached to the switch housing mounting plate Failure to properly attach and tighten all three assembly screws could result in the switch housing and light fixture falling If you want to install the light fixture proceed with step 7 6 now If you do not want to install the light fixture proceed with step 7 10 now 42606 01 11 18 05 7 6 7 8 7 9 Remove the switch housing cap and plug button Insert the
7. ay fall if not assembled as directed in these installation instructions 3 1 Unbundle the wires from the fan For Standard or Angle mounting 3 2 Insert the downrod through the canopy and canopy trim ring Feed the wires from the fan through the downrod on one side of the pin in the ball 3 3 Loosen the square head set screw on the adapter to install the pipe and ball assembly Note When the pipe and ball assembly is fully installed 2 3 threads on the pipe will still be visible this is normal Securely retighten the set screw with a wrench or pliers Go to 4 e Hanging and Wiring the Fan A CAUTION The adapter has a special coating on the threads Do not remove this coating the coating prevents the downrod from unscrewing Once assembled do not remove the downrod For Low Profile mounting Note For low profile mounting the downrod is replaced with the low profile washer 3 4 Remove the set screw from the adapter 3 5 Place the low profile washer into the canopy with the lip down 3 6 Align the holes in the washer with the holes in the adapter Assemble securely with three locking screws Go to 4 Hanging and Wiring the Fan Step 3 6 Detail Adapter Locking Screws N ly Bir x lt i gt D tow Profile Washer A A A Wo 42606 01 11 18 05 4 Hanging and Wiring the Fan 4 1 Raise the fan and align the slots in the canopy with the hooks on the ceiling plat

11. grooves in the hanger ball Using both hands push the canopy trim ring up to the top of Canopy gt the canopy The canopy trim ring will snap and lock into place Note Should you need to remove the trim ring press firmly on A opposite sides of the trim ring directly above the groove in the Ring hanger ball The tabs will flex out releasing the canopy trim ring Canopy Screw Hunter Fan Company 42606 01 11 18 05 6 Assembling the Blades Hunter fans use several styles of fan blade irons brackets that hold the blade to the fan 6 1 Your fan may include blade grommets If your fan has grommets Step 6 1 Detail insert them by hand into the holes on the blades 6 2 Attach each blade to a blade iron using three blade assembly screws If you used grommets the blades may appear slightly loose after screws are tightened This is normal 6 3 Some blade mounting screws are installed in the motor to secure shipping blocks Remove the blade mounting screws and rubber bumpers from the motor Save the screws and discard the bumpers 6 4 For each blade insert one blade mounting screw through the blade iron and attach lightly to the fan Insert the second blade mounting screw then securely tighten both mounting screws Blade Assembly Use with grommet PENG Use without grommet Blade Mounting Screw 42606 01 11 18 05 Hunter Fan Company 7 Completing Your Installation With or Without
