CAUTION When using only one side of the Grill be aware that the surface of the other side of the Grill will still generate heat Always use pot holders or oven mitts to prevent injury to persons or property Consumer Safety Information This appliance is equipped with a grounded type 3 wire cord 3 prong plug This plug will only fit into an electrical outlet made for a 3 prong plug This is a safety feature If the plug should fail to fit the outlet con tact an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature Short Cord Instructions A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord Longer detachable power supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use If a longer detachable power supply cord or extension cord is used 1 the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance and 2 the longer cord should be arranged so that itwill not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally Since the appliance is of the grounded type the extension cord should be a grounding type 3 wire cord Electric Power If the electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances your appliance may not operate properly It should be operated on a separate el

12. erature if so desired Adjust the Variable Temperature Control to your desired tem perature See Suggested Cooking Chart on following page for specific details Allow Grilling Machine to preheat for 5 minutes Temperature will flash until temperature is reached Once temperature is reached unit will beep and display will stop flashing Use a pot holder to carefully open the Lid Slide the grease catching Drip Tray under the front of the unit Carefully place the items to be cooked on the grilling plate Close the Lid and allow the food to cook for the desired time Consult the Recipe Section at the back of this book for some suggestions The Power Light will be on until the On Off Button is pressed to turn the unit off Do not leave appliance unattended during use After the desired amount of time the food should be done Note The Grilling Machine will automatically shut off one hour after you have turned it on To continue cooking press the ON OFF Button Press the ON OFF Button to turn off the Grill If both sides have been turned on both ON OFF Buttons must be pressed to the OFF position Disconnectthe plug from the wall outlet CAUTION To avoid any sparks at the outlet while disconnecting plug make sure the Power On Indicator is off not illuminated before dis connecting the plug from the outlet Use a pot holder to carefully open the Lid Remove the food using the Plastic Spatula provided Be sure to always use ei
