3. 6 OPTIONAL Your dryer may have an End of Cycle Signal as part of the Push To Start button This signal is helpful when drying items that should be removed from the dryer as soon as it stops Turn the PUSH TO START button to ON or OFF The signal will sound only if the selector is set to On 7 If desired add fabric softener sheet Follow package instructions 8 Press PUSH TO START Stopping and Restarting You can stop your dryer anytime during a cycle To stop your dryer Open the dryer door or turn the Cycle Control knob to OFF NOTE The Cycle Control knob should point to an Off area when the dryer is not in use To restart your dryer Close the door Select a new cycle and temperature if desired Press PUSH TO START 4 AWARNING NY 9 Fire Hazard No washer can completely remove oil Do not dry anything that has ever had any type of oil on it including cooking oils Items containing foam rubber or plastic must be dried on a clothesline or by using an Air Cycle Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or fire How Auto Sense Dry Works During the Auto Sense Dry Cycle the exhaust temperature of the dryer determines the drying time and dryness levels A thermostat signals the Cycle Control Knob when to move into Cool Down The drying time for an Auto Sense Dry Cycle depends on load type and load size When drying a large or heavy load the Cycle Control Knob may take a long time before

Flexible metal vents are acceptable only if accessible for cleaning The total length of flexible metal vent should not AWARN i NG exceed 7 3 4 ft 2 4 m Do not kink or crush flexible metal vent It must be completely extended to allow adequate exhaust air to flow Check vent after installation Refer to the Installation Instructions for proper length requirements of vent 2 Usea 4 102 mm exhaust hood Fire Hazard Use a heavy metal vent 4 4 102 mm gt 102 mm Do not use a plastic vent Do not use a metal foil vent l l 3 Use the straightest path possible when routing the vent Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or fire If the dryer is not properly installed and vented it will not be covered under the warranty The dryer exhaust must not be connected into any gas vent chimney wall ceiling attic crawlspace or concealed space of a building Proper venting of your dryer is important for satisfactory drying results See the Installation Instructions for more detail Better 4 Use clamps to seal all joints Exhaust vent must not be connected or secured with screws or other fastening devices that extend into the interior of the duct and can catch lint Do not use duct tape 5 Clean exhaust vent periodically depending on use but at least every 2 years or when installing your dryer in a new location When cleaning is complete be sure to follow the Installation Ins

14. it begins to advance into Cool Down The Auto Sense Dry Cycle takes the guesswork out of drying time and enhances fabric care The amount of time that is displayed is the estimated time remaining in the cycle How Auto Sense Dry Plus Works When you are using the Auto Sense Dry Plus Cycle the dryness of the load is determined by two metal strips sensors located on the inside of the dryer The metal strips help feel the amount of moisture left in the clothes as they pass When there is moisture left in the clothes the Cycle Control Knob will not advance As clothes begin to dry the amount of water left in the clothes decreases and the timer advances through the remainder of the cycle When the selected dryness level is reached the dryer goes into a cool down period of up to 10 minutes Use the Drying Rack to dry items such as sweaters and pillows without tumbling The drum turns but the rack does not move If your model does not have a drying rack you may be able to purchase one for your model To find out whether your model allows drying rack usage and for ordering information please refer to the front page of the manual or contact the dealer from whom you purchased your dryer NOTE The rack must be removed for normal tumbling Do not use the automatic cycle with the drying rack To use the drying rack 1 Place drying rack in dryer Style 1 Your drying rack has front legs Slide rear pegs into the dimples on the back wall o
15. ke sure leveling legs are secure in dryer base Use masking tape to secure dryer door Unplug dryer or disconnect power Open the dryer door Locate the light bulb cover on the back wall of the dryer Remove the screw located in the lower right hand corner of the cover Remove the cover Turn bulb counterclockwise Replace the bulb with a 10 watt appliance bulb only Replace the cover and secure with the screw Plug in dryer or reconnect power TROUBLESHOOTING First try the solutions suggested here and possibly avoid the cost of a service call Dryer will not run m Has a household fuse blown or has a circuit breaker tripped Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker If the problem continues call an electrician m Is the correct power supply available Electric dryers require 240 volt power supply Check with a qualified electrician m Was a regular fuse used Use a time delay fuse Is the dryer door firmly closed Was the Start button firmly pressed No heat m Has a household fuse blown or has a circuit breaker tripped Electric dryers use 2 household fuses or circuit breakers The drum may be turning but you may not have heat Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker If the problem continues call an electrician For gas dryers is the valve open on the supply line Unusual sounds Has the dryer had a period of non use If the dryer hasn t been used for a while there may be a thump
