The information in this manual supplements the owner manual This manual describes features that may or may not be on your specific vehicle either because they are options that you did not purchase or due to changes subsequent to the printing of this owner manual Litho in U S A Part No 22824133 B Second Printing Please refer to the purchase documentation relating to your specific vehicle to confirm each of the features found on your vehicle Keep this manual with the owner manual in the vehicle so it will be there if it is needed If the vehicle is sold leave this manual in the vehicle Overview Read this manual thoroughly to become familiar with how the navigation system operates The navigation system includes navigation and audio functions Keeping your eyes on the road and your mind on the drive is important for safe driving The navigation system has built in features intended to help with this by disabling some features when driving A grayed out function is not available when the vehicle is moving Infotainment System 3 All functions are available when the vehicle is parked Do the following before driving Become familiar with the navigation system operation buttons on the faceplate and touch sensitive screen buttons Setup the audio by presetting favorite stations setting the tone and adjusting the speakers Setup the navigation features such as entering an address or a

Tone Multi Frequency DTMF Tones The UHP system can send numbers during a call This is used when calling a menu driven phone system To access this system 1 Press the MENU SELECT knob and select Enter Number 2 Enter the character sequence Operating UHP Using Voice Control The voice control of the UHP system enables you to operate several functions of the mobile phone using your voice The UHP System uses voice commands to control the system and dial phone numbers After input of the command the infotainment system guides you through the dialogue with appropriate questions and feedback to achieve the desired action The commands and numbers can be spoken without a pause between the individual words In addition you can save telephone numbers under a name tag that is selectable by you The telephone connection can be set up with this name In the event of incorrect operation or incorrect codes the voice control gives you voice feedback and requests you to re enter the desired command Apart from this the voice control acknowledges important commands and will ask if necessary In order that calls are made inside the vehicle do not lead to unintentional triggering of the mobile phone the voice control does not start until it has been activated Activating the Voice Control Press and release the button on the steering wheel to activate the voice control of the UHP system The system resp

28. current position and heading The waypoint symbol marks a set direction of the vehicle on the map waypoint and is numbered depending on how many have been set A waypoint is a stopover destination point added to the planned route If waypoints have been added to the current route each waypoint destination displays estimated time The destination symbol marks the and distance final destination after a route has been planned The estimated time and distance to the destination are displayed This symbol indicates that the map view is North up North up displays North at the top of the map screen regardless of the direction the vehicle is traveling Select this screen symbol to change the view to Heading up or 3 D This symbol indicates that the map view is heading up Heading up view displays the direction the vehicle is traveling at the top of the map screen The shaded triangle indicates North Select this screen symbol to change the view to North up or 3 D Press this screen symbol to change to 3 D mode The 3 D symbol is the same as the Heading up symbol but the map is in 3 D The No GPS symbol appears when there is no Global Positioning System GPS satellite signal Infotainment System 53 These symbols indicate that the information shown on the right side of the map can be hidden to show a full screen map view This symbol indicates that a menu is available and displays on the
