ERATION CONTINUED Warning Do not operate the kettle on an inclined surface Do not operate the kettle unless the element is fully immersed Do not move the kettle while it is switched on Condensation on Base Note This kettle uses the latest high quality automatic on off switch It is operated by the steam which is produced from the boiling water The switch unit is mounted in the base of the kettle Steam produced from the boiling water activates the on off switch mechanism which is located below the lower handle area There may be a small amount of condensation left on the base unit at this point This is normal and not a reason for concern If this occurs after use wipe this condensation dry with a dry towel CLEANING Always disconnect your kettle from the mains supply before cleaning Never immerse your kettle or base in water or other liquids Wipe the exterior of the kettle and base with a damp cloth Dry with a dry towel Do not use harsh abrasives or solvents as these may damage the plastics Do not use detergent Periodically check the supply cord for damage Store your appliance and these instructions in its original box or in a dry cupboard De Scaling In order to retain the performance of your kettle it is important to periodically remove calcium deposits that build up inside the kettle Half fill the kettle with clean water Add 30 ml of white vinegar Boil this mixture and allow water to stand for 1 mi
