10. between classes Had no use for them otherwise especially when my major was given the smallest amount of print credit I did not use any this semester Na The computer cart in the Education building is horrible We used those labtops for access to SPSS they were all EXTREMELY slow and worthless 1 The printing 2 Log in times and printing better guality Double sided page printers would be wonderful and when itis available the staff has been incredibly rude about those who use it and encourage them not to utilize the printers full capabilities 3 Scanners and double sided printers Computer labs are good The resident hall could have a printed in the labs 1 The speed of the internet 2 The time to fix a problem when blackboard U drive is down 3 Lazerz In the main computer lab in Gamble many of the computers weren t connected to the UPrint Stations Since my main reason for using this lab is printing it made for a very frustrating experience It would be a guessing game to find a computer that would allow me to print NA na 1 1 like that there are only a few to no students in the INMED computer lab every time want to use it It gives me peace and quiet to concentrate and get studying or assignments done 2 don t think anything needs improvements 3 I am satisfied just using this computer lab have most of my classes in the School Of Medicine so it is very convenient for me Quicker log ins Sometimes when needed
11. blackboard until the end of the semester Announcements on Bb should be automatically sent to students email as well Some do some do not It would be nice if all of my classes were on Blackboard instead of a fraction of them Itis hard to simply agree or disagree There were certainly struggles and things could have been updated more quickly but for the most part the site and tools were used effectively All of my professors except one use blackboard The one professor that does not use blackboard effectively makes the class really stressful My French instructor uploads documents she presents in the content section but nothing else No grades no updates no messages we know nothing can download a documenta day or two later and being int he dark on everything in the course because she refuses to use the site is very frustrating see above Don t post if class got canceled or grades T amp L 526 yes T amp L 527 not as organized often announcements or lessons or materials found in inconsistent locations Never received feedback for grades only a grade Again 526was GREAT it was 527 that was the issue Same as above 2 classes used it just a cloud for assignment My instructors often times do not know how to effectively use Blackboard Not all the instructers use Blackboard efficiently Don t use N A I love blackboard however one of my instructors does not use it at all Therefore itis very hard to know where you stand for
12. errors in some of the quizzes and have yet to get a response concerning problems with three exam questions and 1 quiz questions did receive a response on 1 quiz question but my grade has not yet been adjusted for giving a correct answer that was marked as wrong There are three more exam questions and 1 quiz question that do not agree with and because have found other input errors have my doubts about their validity also contacted the instruction about hand out materials for the exams which were poor photocopies in which some of the data was not readable also did not receive a satisfactory response on that issue because the same handouts were included for the following exam want campus connection changed It is an extremely confusing website that is not user friendly We re a college for christ sake lets have a program that shows that Add additional topics no please explain that you are not allowed to work at your own pace when someone asks before they register and pay for the cdm course this is also notin the marketing brochure and was not spoken about during my pre registration phone call basically ive paid UND money for a course that i could not do and when i asked about turning in more than 2 assignments in one month was never give any real clarity on if that was allowed im very disapointed with UND and will not reccomend it to anyone that needs to get a cdm ive extended my course 2 times to not show a school switch to my compan
13. find things Blackboard needs improving Most sections are satisfactory but others could be fixed so that students proceed in a logical sequence instead of backspacing A lot of clicking around trying to find things My instructor put up an online discussion board and I ve only been able to find it once would like the semester and year noted in the course numbers so know when looking back Navigation through the pre course processess and courses could flow more logically Course pages from previous semesters are still showing up though They are terrible look into canvas or another LMS did not use often but when did Each instructor sets it up differently so some classes are more organized and easier to use than others provided no instruction JDOSAS uses EZ very little consistency between professors But which instructors would use a calendar for assignments posted to blackboard Instructors made it hard to find things sometimes don t know what blackboard is NA Some content is well hidden It is very confusing at first and not the greatest user friendly site Some of the forms are difficult to know what you want us to fill iin there s this small box do w x it although not completely user friendly or intuitive Depends on the professor yes except the practice tutorial would be nice if it left our page once we became familiar with things Most do but not all Sonya Hung created too many sections within it and she didn

16. screen writing for teachers isn t great have one professor who has struggled with the pen moving to the next slide and making it hard to complete drawing out an example Appreciated the opportunity to pick up education in this format Easy to access and complete coursework l use the computers have at home or at my place of employment am enrolled in Online classes will never use this again what a waste of money for nothing to gain from it and nothing but computer to go to hated this Blackboard is great Support staff is great Other than the fact that had to keep switching computers and search engines in order to open different things from my instructors thought it worked well Overall am pretty impressed have not run into any compatibility issues Everything is going smoothly My only concern is the Wi Fi network in Bek The network gets bogged down at times and comes to complete stops for a couple of seconds which makes my Internet Explorer stop responding forcing me to reload every tab In the future would just like to use a better network at Bek I had no issues The internet connection goes out often and Blackboard is often unavailable It s extremely inconvenient as most of our work is done online now smoother uploads of work to blackboard better options for completing work digitally rather than handwriting work and submitting it via scans or digital photographs When provided it has been a big help and a usefu

19. the IT Industry and have a GA and a BS the first of which was blended on ground and on line the second was entirely on line I am not just a student also design build implement secure run and maintain the IT networks for the State of Michigan so know of which speak My BS in Information Technology and Security came from Baker College Online and they are not perfect either but they are using Blackboard to much greater effect than UND It probably is not done this way but if you contacted them and had some staff take some coursework like their Student Online Orientation Class you would get a good feel for what you are doing differently and how Bb might be leveraged for better effect understand that as a Masters Student we may be more autonomous but some of my courses we have had class interaction at Baker you had to post 5 of seven days per week in the discussion group section of each class Admittedly this much posting was sometimes bothersome but most instructors had weekly questions that we would answer and then discuss debate The userd additional features in Bb like the plagiarism checker to help us make sure our APA formatting was done correctly and to save us money on renting this service online It is difficult to think of all the differences when on the spot like this but know that am constantly thinking to myself I wish UND did this in Bb like Baker did it The use of adobe connect is extremely hampering it limits the formats
20. the computers are super slow to start took only a correspondence course have never been on campus N A do not use labs It takes forever to log on to computer labs Honestly longer than five minutes Really dislike Windows 8 too would be ideal if all set up the same rather than each being so different This is the same for the work stations in classrooms The computers are slow GRA Office amp Lab Gillette never used one OT department has poor printing services Anne no access to copying scanning No problems when needed to use the lab It was easy to use Wish engineering labs logged in faster filled out this survey and I m still not logged on Improvement that needs to be made Takes a very long time to log on to some computers I did not use any computer labs this semester l like the layout of the computer labs in Striebel Hall they allow you to use your computer while at the same time making it easy to see the instructor of the course when in a class They always post the class schedules outside the labs so that students know when the labs are free to be used in between classes More space in the Memorial Union computer lab Open the back rooms in the lab for more student use accessibility time accessible Residence Hall Labs are 24 7 with the dorm key card but what about off campus students there does not seem to be a 24 7 access for off campus students The dept labs are great but have very limited hours so doe
