1. General Operation ToadWorks PipeLine is vintage style tremolo pedal capable of reproducing the Harmonic Vibrato effect found on the original brown face Fender amplifiers This unit functions in both Stereo or Monophonic modes and the speed can be controlled via an expression pedal Mode Switches between standard Tremolo mode and the Harmonic Vibrato mode Waveform Adjusts the shape of the LFO wave Turning the knob clockwise will variably change the waveform from sinusoidal to square Speed Controls the rate of the LFO Turning the knob clockwise will increase the rate Intensity Controls the depth of the effect Turning the knob clockwise will increase the amount of effect present in the signal In The input jack is clearly labeled on the right side of the pedal It is designed for use with 1 4 phone plugs only Exp Pedal The Expression Pedal jack is clearly labeled on the right side of the pedal It is designed for use with the Line6 EX1 expression pedal Inserting the expression pedal plug into this jack will disable the Speed control and the expression pedal becomes the rate controller Out The Primary Output jack is clearly labeled on the left side of the pedal It is designed for use with 1 4 phone plugs only Out Stereo The Stereo Output jack is clearly labeled on the left side of the pedal It is designed for use with 1 4 phone plugs only Inserting a 1 4 plug into this jack will split the signal causing the eff2. ect to alternate betweet the two output jacks On Off Switch The on off switch is located directly on top of the pedal and is used to turn the effect on and off Note PipeLine is wired for True Bypass This means that when the switch is in the off position the original signal is routed around the effect circuit resulting in no signal loss or coloration Power Supply Jack PipeLine is equipped with a 2 1mm barrel jack for use with a tip negative 9 Volt DC REGULATED power adapter Note Many 9V power adapters are grossly out of spec and the actual voltage can range anywhere from 7 5 Volts to 16 Volts Voltages of 11V and above will affect the operation of the pedal and can damage the components To avoid damage and or incorrect operation use only the highest quality power adapters ToadWorks recommends the 1 Spot 9VDC adapter OOO O0Q OQOO0O Q0 Frequency Adjustment When using the effect in Harmonic Vibrato mode the tremolo effect is replaced by a pair of alternating high and low pass filters The low pass filter cut off frequency can be adjusted via the trim pot located on the PCB Access to the trim pot is gained by removing the lid 9V Clip PipeLine uses a standard 9V alkaline battery We recommend Duracell part MX1604 PipeLine is an extremely complex and sensitive circuit and requires an optimal power supply at all times If no battery is installed consider placing a piece of masking tape over the batte
