Touch may also be controlled on the Internet Please follow news on the www ecostarter com website for relevant information about this WEEKLY PROGRAM AND GROUPING With its weekly program and grouping features the system can easily be set up to reduce heating at night in order to save energy The weekly program may control single devices or entire groups The weekly program is programmed hour by hour for a whole week Up to 5 different weekly programs may be defined This allows you to have a different heating pattern for when you are away A lighting schedule may also be set up in another weekly program to simulate a presence during these periods EcoStarter Touch provides a grouping feature for organizing its wireless peripherals This simplifies the management of different heating zones both when operating per SMS and via the touchscreen Up to 5 groups are available each with up to 8 members The weekly program takes care of switching devices on off or between comfort eco Each wireless device is configured individually to either follow the simple on off operation or to perform thermostatic regulation and hence to toggle between comfort and eco temperatures instead of being switched entirely on and off by the weekly program Most Nodes wireless peripherals with remote controlled outputs may function both ways except thermostat ECO SI 2 which only follows the thermostatic regulation mode By combining the weekly program and the g

16. be configured per SMS or locally on the touchscreen The chapter on operating the device provides further details about the possibilities Communication between EcoStarter Touch the central unit and its wireless extensions takes place ona bidirectional radio frequency RF channel This means that EcoStarter Touch will receive a confirmation of execution after each command If for instance you send an SMS to EcoStarter Touch ordering it to switch on a given wireless extension and to return its subsequent status you will receive an SMS message back indicating whether it was actually switched on or not For remote operation to be possible EcoStarter Touch needs GSM network coverage The provided GSM antenna enables it to work correctly under normal coverage conditions If the coverage is weak it is advisable to connect an external GSM antenna The main screen of EcoStarter Touch shows the strength of the GSM signal EcoStarter Touch should be positioned so as to optimize the radio coverage towards all receivers The range of the radio signals is of up to 40 80m but depends on the number and nature of any walls separating the central unit and each of its wireless extension armed concrete will weaken the signal far more than a wooden wall During setup you may use EcoStarter s Ping function to check that all receivers are actually covered by the radio signal FURTHER INFORMATION This manual is intended as a in introduction to the EcoStarter Tou
