8. e unit to allow proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser Even for built in installation you must keep 1 4 6 35mm of space on each side and at the top Take care that the air vent at the front of the appliance is never covered or blocked in any way e NOTE It is recommended that you do not install the appliance near an oven radiator or other heating source Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical consumption Don t install in a location where the temperature will fall below 60 F 16 C For best performance do not install the appliance behind a cabinet door or block the base grille e Avoid locating the unit in moist areas e Plug the Wine Cellar into an exclusive properly grounded wall outlet Do not under any circum stances cut or remove the third ground prong from the power cord Any questions concerning power and or grounding should be directed toward a certified electrician or an authorized service center BUILT IN CABINET INSTRUCTIONS This unit is designed for either built in or free standing installation If you plan to use the unit in a built in application use the following dimensions for the enclosure SWC1535 15 38 cm 2314 59 cm 34 4 87 cm ELECTRICAL CONNECTION A WARNING Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical shock If the power cord is damaged have it replaced by a qualified electrician or an aut
9. g its length or at either end When moving the appliance be careful not to damage the power cord EXTENSION CORD Because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions it is strongly recommended that you do not use an extension cord with this appliance However if you must use an extension cord it is absolutely necessary that it be a UL CUL Listed 3 wire grounding type appliance extension cord having a grounding type plug and outlet and that the electrical rating of the cord be 115 volts and at least 10 amperes REVERSING THE DOOR SWING OF YOUR APPLIANCE This unit has the capability of the door opening from either the left or right side The unit is delivered to you with the door opening from the left side Should you desire to reverse the opening direction follow the following reversal instructions o I Fig 2 1 Fig 5 1 Lower Door Hinge 2 Lock Screws 3 Door Shaft Assembly 4 Glass Door 5 Door Axle NOTE All parts removed must be saved to allow the door swing to be reversed 1 Open the glass door 4 and remove the two lock screws 2 holding the door shaft assembly 3 to the glass door Be careful to hold the glass door firmly after removing the screws Fig 1 2 Pull down to remove the glass door and place it on a padded surface to prevent scratching 3 Remove the two screws f
10. horized service center This appliance should be properly grounded for your safety The power cord of this appliance is equipped with a three prong plug which mates with standard three prong wall outlets to minimize the possibility of electrical shock Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third ground prong from the power cord supplied For personal safety this appliance must be properly grounded This appliance requires a standard 115 120 Volt AC 60Hz three prong grounded electrical outlet Have the wall outlet and circuit checked by a qualified electrician to make sure the outlet is properly grounded When a standard 2 prong wall outlet is encountered it is your responsibility and obligation to have it replaced with a properly grounded 3 prong wall outlet To prevent accidental injury the cord should be secured behind the appliance and not left exposed or dangling The appliance should always be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet which has a voltage rating that matches the rating label on the appliance This provides the best performance and also prevents overloading house wiring circuits that could cause a fire hazard from overheating Never unplug the appliance by pulling on the power cord Always grip the plug firmly and pull straight out from the receptacle Repair or replace immediately all power cords that have become frayed or otherwise damaged Do not use a cord that shows cracks or abrasion damage alon
11. installed in step 3 above Tighten the screws using a Phillips head screwdriver until the handle is both flush and secured tightly against the door frame DO NOT over tighten as this will cause damage to the handle assembly 5 Replace the door gasket to its original position OPERATING YOUR APPLIANCE It is recommended you install the appliance in a place where the ambient temperature is between 72 and 78 F 23 26 C If the ambient temperature is above or below the recommended temperatures the performance of the unit may be affected For example placing your unit in extreme cold or hot conditions may cause interior temperatures to fluctuate The range of 40 72 F 5 22 C may not be reached Gasket in Handle __Door Frame RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURE SETTINGS 49 57 F 10 14 C 58 72 F 15 22 C Dry White Wines 48 57 F 9 14 C 49 51 F 10 11 C Sparkling Wines 40 47 F CONTROL PANEL Onn ON OFF Power To turn the appliance ON or OFF touch the symbol and hold for 5 seconds The LED readout will show the temperature set previously the temperature preset at the factory is 54 F 12 C Key Lock If no key is touched for 2 minutes the controls will be locked automatically To release the lock touch the A and V symbols at the same time for at least 3 seconds Setting the Temperature Control You can choose between Fahrenheit and Celsiu

13. l ore 00900 Stainless Steel Door Stainless Steel Handle Full Shelves Total 6 Half Shelf Total 1 Security Lock Base Grile INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR APPLIANCE Remove the exterior and interior packing Before connecting the appliance to the power source let it stand upright for approximately 2 hours This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a soft cloth Install the handle on the door See page 8 INSTALLATION OF YOUR APPLIANCE The appliance is designed for built in recessed or free standing installation WARNING Do not store or install the appliance outdoors CAUTION This appliance is designed for storing and cooling wines Do not store perishable food medicine or other medical products Place your Wine Cellar on a floor that is strong enough to support it when it is fully loaded To level the unit adjust the front leveling legs For free standing installation leave 5 inches 127mm of space around the back and sides of th
14. r Light di The unit is equipped with an interior LED light which can be turned ON or OFF by touching the symbol STORAGE Bottles can differ in size and dimensions As such the actual number of bottles you may be able to store can vary Tu TE You can place 33 standard bottles in this model with 5 bottles on each 5 Bottle Arrangement full size shelf and 3 bottles on the bottom half size shelf Bottle Waa capacity is at its optimum when storing traditional 750 ml Bordeaux bottles I FL l 3 Bottle Arrangement DOOR LOCK Your unit is provided with a lock and key combination The keys are located inside the plastic bag that contains the Owner s Manual Insert the key into the lock and turn it counterclockwise to unlock the door To lock the door do the reverse operation making sure the metal pin is engaged completely Remove the key and place it in a secure place for safekeeping WINE SHELVES To prevent damaging the door gasket make sure to have the door all the way open when pulling the shelves out of the rail compartment e Foreasyaccessto the stored bottles you can pull the shelf approximately halfway out of the rail compartment However this unit was designed with a plastic post on each side of the shelf track to prevent bottles from falling e When removing the wooden shelf from the inner rails make sure to remove all bottles first Then move the shelf to the position where the notches in the wooden shelf are exac
15. rom the door bottom at left side and install them to the door bottom at right side Fig 3 4 Remove the lower door hinge 1 and rotate it 90 then install it at the designated position on the left side And install the door shaft assembly 3 accordingly Fig 2 5 Remove the door axle 5 from right upper hinge then install and tighten it in the left upper hinge Fig 4 6 Set the glass door into the designated position and install the two lock screws 2 to connect the door shaft assembly 3 with the glass door Tighten them before the door is leveled Fig 5 7 Remove the handle from the left side of the door and install it on the right side See next section INSTALLING THE STAINLESS STEEL HANDLE This wine cellar includes a stainless steel handle that is not required to operate the unit To install the handle follow the instructions below 1 Pull away the door gasket in the area where the handle is to be installed The gasket is easily displaced by hand no tools are necessary 2 Usinga flathead screwdriver remove the two 2 pre installed decorative plugs from the back of the door Save the decorative plugs Flat Washer for future use Lock Washer 3 Insert the two 2 Phillips head handle screws Saaie lt with the lock washers and flat washers ai through the gasket side of the door frame until ie the screws pass through the door frame ha Follow the sequence shown in the figure 4 Align the handle with the screws
16. s for the temperature display by touching the 7 symbol A Fahrenheit or Celsius degree indicator will appear next to the temperature display window You can set the temperature by touching the UP and DOWN symbols e The temperature you are setting will increase by one degree each time you touch the UP symbol and will decrease by one degree each time you touch the DOWN symbol e When you store mostly red wines the temperature should be set at 58 72 F 15 22 C and the LED lamp for RED will be lit red e When you store mostly white wines the temperature should be set at 48 57 F 9 14 C and the LED lamp for WHITE will be lit green e When you store mostly sparkling wines the temperature should be set at 40 47 F 5 8 C and the LED lamp y for SPARKLING will be lit amber e The temperature inside the unit will appear in blue in the display window NOTE e If the unit is unplugged or power is lost or turned off you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the unit If you attempt to restart before this time delay the unit will not start When you use the unit for the first time or restart the unit after it has been shut off for a long time there could be a few degrees variance between the temperature you select and the one indicated on the LED readout This is normal and is due to the length of the activation time There should not be a problem once the unit has been running for a few hours Interio
