1. system used is extremely strong and long lasting If the layers of paint are scratched off you must immediately re paint these areas with touch up paint provided or the warranty may be voided Assembly We recommend you place and hand tighten all bolts nuts before fully tightening them so proper alignment can take place e Attach the main Seat Footrest assembly A bolts 3 large bolts nuts May be installed on the right or the left side of the main unit Footrest w hinge assembly B bolts 2 bolts nuts Seat C bolts 4 bolts Armrests D bolts 2 bolts w washers Footrest Pad E bolts 2 bolts nuts After all nuts bolts are in place and hand tightened fully tighten Periodically re check these bolts for tightness as well as all bolts located on the rest of the Pool Lift If the hand control is packed separate attach to the Control Box located on the side of the battery box on the main unit The connect point on the Control Box is marked Hand Control and has a notch to help locate connecting Turn the fitting until the pins notch align and secure the waterproof nut Insure the connection is snug but do not over tighten the fitting of the hand Control The seat Arm Rests are constructed with a slot to mount the Hand Control when not in use Make sure you route the Hand Control Cable so there is no chance of pinching or jamming the cable in the Pool Lift mechanism Battery Most models do not have a Ke

User Manual SYN 3000 Important Read this manual carefully This unit is designed to lower and raise handicap persons into a pool or spa therefore maximum care must be taken to provide for safety Installing the Pool Lift on the Pool Deck Please see Recommended Installation Instructions Note It is critical that the installation mounting holes be accurately placed to ensure the Pool lift base plate holes line up with the holes in the pool deck If the holes do not line up do not attempt to install this unit Failure for all holes to line up perfectly will result in dangerous installation and unsafe usage of this unit voiding all warranties and possibly causing harm to the user Safety and quality in installation must be observed at all time during installation of this unit Assembly 1 Assembly Your entire unit is packed in 1 Crate The majority of the unit is assembled and only minimum final assembly is required Locate the following assembly items e Bag of hardware to finish assembly of the Pool Lift Bag contains nuts amp bolts labeled A B C D E e Bag labeled F This is the installation hardware for mounting the Pool Lift to the deck It contains 6 inserts bolts nuts and washers for mounting the Pool Lift See separate instructions below for mounting e A Template used for accurately marking and drilling the concrete deck for installation e Seat Footrest Frame Assembly This unit can be bolted to the left or r
3. chair has traveled its full distance 5 The Pool Lift is now ready to be put into service IMPORTANT If any of the tests described above fail in any way DO NOT put the Pool Lift into service Remove the battery and call the warranty number listed on Appendix B Important Battery Note The battery must be fully charged before installing in the pool lift The battery is designed to run the motor piston assembly and lift up to 350 Ib in and out of the pool approxametaly10 cycles The amount of cycles may vary based on age of battery heat and humidity and weight of person in the chair Never assume the battery will last an indefinite amount of cycles Always monitor how many times the battery is cycled and recharge as necessary A low battery may leave the user stranded in the chair The battery is designed to run 4 minutes and then rest 12 minutes this is called the duty cycle which is rated at 25 Spa and hot tub use ADA Law requires a footrest be used in the pool area but it is NOT required when used in a spa or hot tub If the footrest is not workable in your hot tub simply unbolt it and store off site for future use Maintenance amp Care of the Pool Lift amp Battery Battery The battery has a button indicator that shows the battery state of charge If the battery is less than 3 4 charged do not attempt to use it in the Pool Lift The battery must be immediately charged as a low battery will cause the unit to stop functioni

5. ng and possibly leave the user stranded in the chair We suggest the battery be kept on charge at all times when not in use A charger is provided with the unit Store the battery in a clean cool place Excessive heat will cause the battery to discharge faster Replace the battery after one year to ensure the unit is always ready for use A Cover for the battery is included Us the cover to protect the battery when isnatlled in the Pool Lift Pool Lift We suggest using WD 40 or a like type of lubricant to keep all moving parts moving efficiently Do not over spray as this will cause an oily film to build up under the unit Wipe off any unnecessary over spill of lubricant Electronics It is critical that the electronics are kept in good working order Inspect them daily to ensure no cables are pinched or frayed Make sure the control box is fully closed at all times Make sure the battery plug is kept clean and free of corrosion and the cover for the battery is in place when the plug is not connected to the battery Make sure the battery is kept fully charged at all times
6. y Earlier models were shipped with 2 keys to turn the battery ON If your battery has a key insert the Key and turn to the ON position before checking charge rate After the battery is fully charged LED indicator on top should show 3 lights when the test button is pushed Insert the battery into the battery box 8 Plug in the power cord The unit is now ready for operation 7 x Usage Place the fully charged battery with the key in the On position in the battery box Plug the power cord from the control box into the battery Before allowing a person to use the lift ensure all controls are working properly 1 First make sure the Emergency ON OFF switch is in the On position by slightly turning it clockwise The very large RED button will pop out This is the ON position For Emergency Stop push the same large RED button in 2 Red button small Push this to lower the person into the water Green button small Push this button to raise the person back to the pool deck 3 Chair travel Once the chair has traveled the full length of the arm up or down it will automatically stop Do Not continue holding the switch after the chair has traveled its full distance 4 Test the hand control Using a Non Handicap person for testing purposes have a qualified person who is capable of swimming sit in the chair Use the hand control to raise and lower the chair as before Do Not continue holding the control button after the
