2. environment for any equipment The following recommendations are offered e Keep the equipment clean both inside and out e Supply cord Regularly inspect sheath plug and cord anchorage for damage or loose connection e Solution tank check filter is clean and undamaged A damaged filter must be replaced or damage to pump head and spray jet could occur e Vacuum head Check and remove any debris or lint build up from the head e Spray jet Check jet for blockage and full spray pattern Blow through jet to clean Do not use a pin as this could damage the jet e Lubricate brass quick disconnects and drain valves with a quality lubricant such as WD 40 e Flush solution systems after use with clear clean water A white vinegar solution may also be used This will counter act hard water and alkaline deposits and aid in keeping orrificaes clean e Do not allow fluid either in solution or waste tank to sit overnight The unit should be emptied and cleaned daily after every use e Clean the strainer in the solution tank the filters on the vacuum stack in vacuum tank and all lint filters in the inlet or vacuum tanks daily after use e Do not use the same bucket to fill solution tank that is used to remove waste from the recovery tank e When the unit is not in use recovery tank lid open e After use before storage run the vacuum for 2 minutes with lid open and filter off leave the IMPORTANT All oth

5. the machine Fig 4 and place the other end at the drain or bucket Turn on the PUMP switch This will pump out the remaining solution Fig 4 5 1 2 Draining the recovery tank e To drain the recovery tank release the drain hose at the rear of the machine and empty into a bucket Fig 5 Fig 5 5 2 Storage e To disconnect the solution hose push in on the ring of the solution filling Switch off the machine remove power plug from the Socket and empty the recovery tank Leave recovery tank open when storing e The brush should be raised for storage e After use check that water tanks are empty and clean and dry the machine as described e We recommend running the vacuum motor for approximately 2 minutes after use and before storage to eliminate condensation within the machine body thus ensuring the motor and particularly the bearings remain dry e Store machine with recovery tank lid removed Deodoriser may be left in the tank to prevent unpleasant odours e Wrap supply cord around handle ensuring that plug is not trailing on the floor e Store extractor indoors in a dry area e Do not store in freezing temperatures 5 3 Maintenance WARNING Before undertaking maintenance operations or adjustments switch off machine and unplug from the electricity supply To receive reliable service from this equipment regular daily maintenance is a requirement Fabric cleaning both carpet and upholstery is a very dirty

7. ations are followed 1 4 Electrical connection Before connecting the machine to the power supply check that your supply voltage corresponds with that marked on the rating label on the rear of the machine UK only e The supply cord is fitted with a non rewireable plug containing a 18 amp fuse Should the fuse require replacement it must only be replaced by a 13 amp fuse conforming to BS1362 and the fuse cover must be refitted If the fuse cover is lost the plug must not be used until the correct replacement cover is fitted e IMPORTANT If the supply cord is damaged it must only be replaced by a special cord available from the manufacturer or an authorised service agent Should an extension cord be used ensure cord rating is adequate for the equipment Do not use extension cord in coiled condition as this could result in overheating of the cord 2 Controls Brush Pump Vacuum Solution switch BoOm 3 Preparing the machine e Fill the fresh water solution tank with water and approved carpet cleaning chemical Fig 1 Warm water can be used to aid cleaning however this can increase the risk of colours fading and carpets to shrink WARNING DO NOT overfill Fig 1 NOTE Ensure chemical is diluted correctly according to instructions on the container e DO NOT use the waste tank to fill the solution tank as debris could damage the pump or block the jet e Add defoamer solution per manufacturer s instructi

14. ons as needed 4 Operation 4 1 Starting the machine e Plug the main power cable into an outlet e Press the vacuum switch to the ON position Then press the pump switch ON and the brush switch to the ON position e Lower carpet brush Fig 2 Push brush pedal forward to lower brush Push down and back to raise bush Fig 2 4 2 Using the machine e Press and hold the solution switch to apply the cleaning solution Pull the machine backwards at the same time to clean the carpet Stop the solution spray about 30cm before the end so all of the solution is vacuumed up Slightly overlap the next cleaning pass to prevent streaking A two 2 wet pass maximum is recommended to avoid overwetting After a few passes check the waste tank to see that no foam is present Add extra defoamer if necessary e Make sure to empty the recovery tank Fig 3 when it is approximately 34 full Do not refill the solution tank without emptying all the contents of the recovery tank first e IMPORTANT Ensure recovery tank is emptied whenever solution tank is filled IMPORTANT Do not run the pump motor when the solution tank is empty as this will damage the motor 4 3 Cleaning Carpets Colour fastness Before using cleaning solution or pre spotter test carpet for colour fastness on an inconspicuous area Apply solution to a small piece of clean white material or tissue and then rub on carpet vigorously Excessive amounts of dye showi
