Always wait for the player to fully complete the firmware upgrade before restarting the player If you are using the HDMI video output the screen may go blank during the update If in any doubt about this process you can submit a support ticket at the Ziova Online Helpdesk www ziova com helodesk ClearStream CS615 User Manual Copyright 2008 2007 Zova Corporation 35 Setting Up Your ClearSteam Info The Info page displays device information about your player This information is used for informational purposes and can be used for trouble shooting network issues etc Current Version Displays the current version of firmware installed on your player IP Address The IP address your player is using on the network If NA is displayed it means your player does not have a valid IP address This will only happen if your IP address is set to AUTO and your player cannot contact a valid DHCP server on the network Subnet Mask The subnet mask your player is using If NA is displayed it means your player does not have valid IP settings See the IP address at the top of this table for more information Gateway The gateway your player is using If NA is displayed it means your player does not have valid IP settings See the IP address at the top of this table for more information DNS Server The DNS server your player is using If NA is displayed it means your player does not have valid IP settings See th

Using Your ClearSteam Player Video Seek and Search Functions C ontinued With most video formats you can use the Option button to do a percentage based seek Press Option until the Seek bar appears Using the LEFT or RIGHT buttons slide the bar to the desired position and press OK With DVD ISO s you can do a time based seek using the Option button It works in exactly the same way as the percentage seek function The commercial skip feature allows you to skip forward or backwards a set amount of time defined in the general settings The default setting is 10 seconds To skip forward you can use the RIGHT or STEP button and to skip backwards you can use the LEFT button The commercial skip function is useful to jump forward a set amount of time quickly to go past commercials or breaks in your video Please note that on first use of the seek search or step commands within a file it will take longer to move to the new position as the file needs to be indexed Indexing allows the player to map the file so it can navigate correctly and accurately Subsequent use of these functions within the same file will be almost instantaneous Seek search and file navigation may not be available for all files ClearStream CS615 User Manual Copyright 2008 2007 Zova Corporation 51 Using Your ClearSteam Player PIC TURES Viewing pictures is much the same as viewing a video When

8. previously saved Favorites Displays a list of your favourite Shoutcast stations Favorites for Shoutcast work the same as favourite network and hard disk locations Shoutcast Allows you to browse search and play Shoutcast stations Finding a radio station is easy The Shoutcast menu gives you the following options Top 40 Displays a list of Top 40 stations Random Displays a list of Random stations on the Shoutcast listings By Genre Displays a list of different Genres Clicking on a Genre displays a list of stations matching that particular genre By Keyword By Keyword allows you to search Shoutcast for stations matching your Keyword You enter your keyword using the remote and Press Ok For example try searching for eye97 When browsing stations the station title is displayed and then information about the Station is listed below Information such as the Genre the song now playing and the Bitrate of the audio is displayed To play a station highlight it and press OK You can save a station to favourites by highlighting it and pressing ALT and then BKMARK Once you have saved a station to favorites you can start playing it again by choosing Favorites from the WebRadio menu To delete an unwanted favorite highlight it and press the STEP TRASH button The information displayed about the station may not necessarily be accurate as the Shoutcast list that the player reads from can often be out
9. you press OK ona supported picture file it will display the picture on the screen If there is more than one picture in a folder the player will automatically go into slideshow mode and smoothly move on to the next picture using transitions The time delay between changing pictures can be set in the settings menu Only files with supported picture type file extensions will be listed in the file browser When displaying pictures you can pause the slideshow and zoom in and pan around a current picture See the remote section for more details If valid EXIF info for the picture is available the player will read it and correctly orientate portrait pictures on the screen It will also automatically scale your picture to fit the screen as well as possible The picture feature is designed for lower resolution images in landscape mode Higher resolution pictures from digital cameras or files larger than 2Mb may take a long time to load or fail to load Pictures that are edited by a program that doesn t preserve EXIF information may not display correctly on your screen Parallel Sideshow Mode lf you add both pictures and music to an active playlist you can start a slideshow with music in the background great for showing your photos to family and friends 1 Add your desired pictures and music to the active playlist and open the Active Playlist See Active Playlists for more information 2 Play the song you wish to start with in t

14. able unit Upgrade via Web To upgrade the firmware from the internet your ClearStream player will need to have internet access You can confirm internet access by going to WebRadio and seeing if the player is able to browse the Shoutcast listings Press the SETUP button to open the Settings menu From the settings menu select Firmware Select Upgrade from Web At this point the player will check the internet for an updated firmware If it finds one it will display a message confirming the version it is upgrading from and the version it will be upgraded to If you are happy to continue select YES to continue The player will then start the upgrade Do not turn the player off or press any buttons on the remote while the upgrade is taking place When the upgrade is finished the player will ask you to press OK to restart your player To confirm the upgrade you can check the Info page in the settings menu 56 ClearStream CS615 User Manual Copyright 2008 2007 Zova Corporation Appendix A Firmware Upgrades Upgrade via USB To upgrade from USB you have to have a USB2 0 drive supported by the ClearStream e Download the firmware upgrade files from My Ziova at www ziova com e Extract the files onto your computer e Copy the upgrade files to the root directory of the USB Flash Drive e Insert the USB Flash Drive with the upgrade files into your player e Press the SETUP b
