CTED WATER There are two ways to remove collected water 1 USE THE RESERVOIR When the unit is off and the reservoir is full the indicator light will flash When the unit is on if the reservoir is full the compressor turns off and the fan turns off after 30 seconds for drying the water 1 Pull out the bucket a little Figure A of the condenser then the unit will beep 8 times and the Full 2 Hold both sides of the bua indicator light will flash The digital display shows error P2 with even strength and pull it out from the unit e Slowly pull out the reservoir Grip the left and right handles se curely and carefully pull out straight so water does not spill Do not put the tank on the floor because the bottom of the reser voir is uneven If the reservoir is balanced on the floor it will fall and water will spill e Throw away the water and replace the reservoir The reservoir must Figure B be in place and securely seated for the dehumidifier to operate 3 Pour the water out e The machine will re start when the reservoir is re inserted correctly e NOTES When you remove the reservoir do not touch any parts inside of the unit Doing so may damage the product Be sure to push the reservoir gently all the way into the unit Banging Figure C Pump hose Reinstall pump the reservoir against anything or failing to push it in securely dropped nee proparly may cause the unit to stop operating If water spills or

8. ay reduce performance ES Ec e Do not force casters to move over e Place the unit away from the clothes dryer heater or radiator Use carpet nor move the unit with water the unit to prevent moisture damage anywhere books or valuables inthe reservoir The unit may tip over are stored and spill water and cause shock e Use the dehumidifier in a basement to help prevent moisture damage e The dehumidifier must be operated in an enclosed area to be most effective e Close all doors windows and other outside openings to the room WHEN USING THE UNIT e When first using the dehumidifier operate the unit continuously 24 hours e This unit is designed to operate with a working environment between 41 F 95 F 5 C 35 C e If the unit has been switched off and needs to be switched on again quickly allow approximately three minutes for the correct operation to resume Do not connect the dehumidifier to a multiple socket outlet which is also being used for other electrical appliances e Select a suitable location making sure you have easy access to an electrical outlet e Plug the unit into a electrical socket outlet with earth connection e Make sure the water reservoir is correctly fitted otherwise the unit will not operate properly e NOTE When the water in the reservoir reaches to a certain level please be careful when moving the machine to avoid it tipping over OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CONTINUED REMOVING THE COLLE

10. er replace the reservoir CAUTION DO NOT operate the dehumidifier without a filter because dirt and lint will clog it and reduce performance BEFORE STORING OR NOT USING A UNIT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME After turning off the unit wait one day before emptying the reservoir e Clean the main unit water reservoir and air filter e Wrap the cord and bundle it with the band Figure 3 Cover the unit with a plastic bag e Store the unit upright in a dry well ventilated place 10 TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS e Make sure the dehumidifier plug is pushed completely into the outlet e Check the house fuse circuit breaker box e Dehumidifier has reached its preset level or bucket is full e Reservoir is not in the proper position Unit does not start e Did not allow enough time to remove the moisture e Make sure there are no curtains blinds or furniture blocking the front or back of the dehumidifier e The humidity control may not be set low enough e Check that all doors windows and other openings are securely closed e Room temperature is too low below 41 F 5 C e There is a kerosene heater or something giving off water vapor in the room Dehumidifier does not dry the air as it should e The air filter is clogged e The unit is tilted instead of upright as it should be e The floor surface is not level The unit makes a loud noise when operating Frost appears on the coils e This is normal The dehumidifier has an
11. is found per vvithin the unit upon removing the reservoir you must dry the unit carefully z ji Adaptor A IMPORTANT When removing the reservoir ensure the pump hose is properly positioned before re inserting the reservoir as shown in Figure C 2 CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE Water can be automatically emptied into a floor drain by attaching the unit with a water hose 5 16 diameter with a 1 female thread ed end e Install the drain hose onto the adapter A see Figure D e Remove the plastic cover from the back drain outlet of the unit and set aside and remove reservoir then insert the drain hose through the drain outlet of the unit and securely press it into the connector on the front of the unit see Figure F Connector e Tighten the adapter A and the unit by using two screws placed Drain hose in the reservoir Figure F e Install the female threaded end of the water hose into the Water hose adapter A see Figure G then lead the water hose to the floor drain or a suitable drainage facility Female threaede end Figure G e Make sure the hose is secure so there are no leaks Direct the hose toward the drain making sure that there are no kinks that will stop the water flow Place the end of the hose into the drain and make sure the end of the hose is level or down to let the water flow smoothly Do never let it up Place the reservoir back in the unit and make sure that
12. it is seat Plastic cover ed correctly Drain hose e Select the desired humidity setting and fan speed on the unit to subassembly commence continuous draining 3 PUMP DRAINAGE Water can be automatically emptied into a floor drain by connecting Continuous drain the unit pump to a 1 4 hose Follow these instructions carefully hose e Remove the continuous drain hose and subassembly Install the plastic cover to the continuous drain hose outlet using two screws see Figure H e Reinsert the pump drain hose into the pupp drain hose outlet Push the hose onto the outlet a minimum of 3 4 for a secure fit e Press the pump button on the unit to activate the pumping function When the reservoir is full the pump will operate for pumped 3 5 minutes and empty the reservoir Note that the pump may Pump drain hee Giller produce a loud noise this is normal hose e Make sure the hose is secure so there are no leaks Direct the oe hose toward the drain making sure that there are no kinks that will stop the water flow Place the end of the hose into the drain and make sure the end of the hose is level or down to let the water flow smoothly Do never let it up e Place the reservoir back in the unit and make sure that it is seat ed correctly Filter of the pump e Select the desired humidity setting and fan speed on the unit to commence continuous draining IMPORTANT To clean the pump filter remove
13. it will automatically turn itself on and off according to the programmed times e Use the unit in the recommended room size e Locate the unit where furniture cannot obstruct the air flow e Keep the filters clean e Keep doors and windows closed CARE 8 MAINTENANCE Figure 1 or IMPORTANT Turn the dehumidifier off and remove the plug from the wall outlet before cleaning CLEANING THE GRILLE AND CASE e Use water and a mild detergent Do not use bleach or abrasives Do not splash water directly onto the main unit Doing so may cause an electrical shock cause the insulation to deteri orate or cause the unit to rust e The air intake and outlet grilles get soiled easily so use a vacuum attachment or brush to clean CLEANING THE RESERVOIR Every few weeks clean the reservoir to prevent growth of mold mildew and bacteria Partially fill the reservoir with clean water and add a little mild detergent Swish it around in the reservoir empty and rinse NOTE Do not use a dishwasher to clean the reservoir After cleaning the reservoir must be in place and securely seated for the dehumidifier to operate CLEANING THE AIR FILTER e Remove the filter every two weeks based on normal operat ing conditions e Remove the filter from the top of the unit Figure 1 or to remove the filter remove reservoir then pull filter downwards Figure 2 e Wash the filter with clean water then dry Re install the filt
14. or an adapter plug Do not remove any prong from the power cord A WARNING ELECTRICAL INFORMATION Be sure your electrical wiring is adequate for the model you have chosen This information can be found on the serial plate which is located on the side of the cabinet and behind the grille Be sure the dehumidifier is properly grounded To minimize shock and fire hazards proper grounding is important The power cord is equipped with a three prong grounding plug for protection against shock hazards e Your dehumidifier must be connected to a properly grounded wall receptacle If the wall receptacle you intend to use is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker have a qualified electrician install the proper receptacle e Ensure the receptacle is accessible after the unit installation Do not exceed the rating of the power outlet or connection device e Otherwise it may cause electric shock or fire due to excess heat generation Do not modify power cord length or share the outlet with other appliances e It may cause electric shock or fire due to heat generation Disconnect the power if strange sunds smell or smoke comes from it It may cause fire and electric shock Q Do not use the machine near flammable gas or combustibles such as gasoline benzene thinner etc It may cause an explosion or fire Do not use the unit in small spaces e Lack of v
