OPERATOR S MANUAL The Totalift PTS Transfer Stretcher PTS OPERATOR S MANUAL 50857 REV 01 7 NEREELAUEAST MEDICAL WARRANTY VVy East Medical Corporation warrants to the original user that the Totalift PTS Transfer Stretcher manufactured by the company 16 free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service The term of warranty from the date of purchase shipment is one 1 year during which VVy Fast will provide to the user replacement components or repaired components with the exception of mattress pads which are warranted for ninety 90 days In order to initiate a warranty claim the original user must provide prompt notice to Wy East Medical Corporation within the applicable warranty period specifying the nature of the claim Wy East will issue instructions as to the procedure to follow Wy East reserves the right to confirm the existence of any claimed defect and to determine whether any damage was caused by neglect misuse unauthorized alteration or failure to follow maintenance instructions With respect to a claim covered by this warranty the defective part will be replaced or repaired at no charge provided the defective part 1s returned to Wy East Medical The user has the responsibility for shipping charges and installation Assistance 1s available by calling 503 657 3101 in Oregon This is the exclusive remedy for a claim under this warranty and in no event shall Wy East be liable for consequenti

4. area 44 TABLE CONTENTS PTS OPERATOR S MANUAL 50857 REV 01 7 SEE LAUEAST MEDICAL FEATURES Oxygen Tank Holder 4 holder is provided in the base of the stretcher to place a D or E size oxygen tank 1 Place the bottom of the oxygen tank onto the base on the left side of the stretcher 2 With the gauges positioned toward the head end of the stretcher slide the oxygen tank into the storage area 3 Ensure the tank is properly seated in the storage area 4 To release the tank slide the tank toward end and lift the tank away from the stretcher R Built in I V Pole A telescoping I V pole is provided at the head end of the stretcher and is easily accessed by raising at the hook end and dropping into place Pole Mounting Sockets Receptacles to mount I V poles or certain accessories are located at each outside corner of the stretcher Restraint Holders Provisions for restraint strap attachment have been provided at the head end midsection and foot end Drainage Device Holders Provisions to hang drainage devices are at each side and the foot end of the stretcher 45 TABLE OF CONTENTS PTS OPERATOR S MANUAL 50857 REV 01 FEATURES Transfer System The surface to surface transfer system permits the transfer of patients to and from the stretcher surface with a minimum of lifting resulting in a reduction in the risk of injury to patient and staff as well providing comfortable c

6. e handle up toward the bumper and push or lift the stretcher to the desired position 3 Release the handle to lock surface position To Level Stretcher Surface 1 Grasp the red release handle centrally located under the head end bumper 2 Squeeze the handle and push or lift the stretcher surface until the leveler indicates the stretcher surface 15 level 3 Release the handle to lock the surface into position 42 TABLE OF CONTENTS PTS OPERATOR S MANUAL 50857 REV 01 Co XE LAUEAST MEDICAL FEATURES Siderails The siderails can be raised and lowered from the side of the stretcher to facilitate access to the patient and transfer To Raise 1 Grip the top of the siderail 2 Liftthe siderail up toward the top of the stretcher and snap firmly in place 3 Tug on the siderail to ensure it is completely locked To Lower 1 Grip the top of the siderail 2 While lifting up on the siderail lift the red siderail release lever located near the foot or head end of the stretcher 3 Lower the siderail to the stored position Stretcher Height Adj ustment The stretcher can be raised and lowered to ease patient transfer and to facilitate treatment and transport Height adjustment foot pedals are located on either side of the stretcher near the foot end To Raise Pump firmly on the tall foot pedal labeled RAISE located on both sides near the center of the stretcher base 2 Adjust stretcher to d
7. esired height 3 Stretcher will adjust no higher when maximum height ts reached To Lower 1 Press on the short foot pedal labeled LOWER located on both sides near the foot end of the stretcher 2 Adjust stretcher to desired height Stretcher will adjust no lower when minimum height 1s reached 43 TABLE OF CONTENTS PTS OPERATOR S MANUAL 50857 REV 01 SEPSE 57 MEDICAL FEATURES Central Brake and Steer To Brake Fully press down one of the BRAKE pedals located on both sides and at the head end of the stretcher p All four casters will lock in place 3 Torelease brakes press down the STEER pedal until both pedals are level to the floor and in the neutral position Note Always set the brake on an occupied stretcher unless it is being moved to another location To Steer The steer function will aid in keeping the stretcher tracking in a straight line and assists in turning corners 1 Fully press down one of the STEER pedals located on both sides and the head end of the stretcher This will position the 5 wheel for steering 2 To release steer press down one of the BRAKE pedals until both pedals are level to the floor and in the neutral position Neutral Position Leave pedals in the level position to be used a Ifside to side motion 18 needed b For quick turning c When positioning the stretcher in a small enclosed
8. ontrolled movement for the patient Transferring Patient To The Totalift PTS From Bed or Other Surface l 2 3 Ensure the fowler is adjusted to the flat position and lower the sideral nearest the bed Position the stretcher next to the bed and SET BRAKE Using the hydraulic RAISE pedal at the center of the base raise the stretcher two to three inches above bed mattress Then using the crank handle located on both sides of the stretcher below the bumper near the foot end extend transfer pad three to four inches over the bed mattress Lower the stretcher until transfer pad rests on bed mattress Using the crank handle extend the pad across to the patient Roll patient onto one side using a draw sheet if necessary and tuck leading edge of transfer pad under patient then allow patient to roll onto pad Using the crank handle retract patient and pad to the center of the stretcher To transport the patient release brake raise siderails and adjust fowler and stretcher to desired height Transferring Patient From Totalift PTS to Bed or Other Surface 1 2 3 Lower sideral nearest bed and position the stretcher next to bed SET BRAKE and ensure fowler is in flat position Using the hydraulic RAISE pedal at the center of the base raise the stretcher two or three inches above bed mattress Then using the crank handle located on both sides of the stretcher below the bumper near the 100 the bed m
