3. put to first use MBW warrants each Demonstration Machine against defects in material and workmanship for a period of six 6 months Demonstration Machine means a machine used by MBW or its agents for promotional purposes This warranty commences on the first day the machine is sold assigned to a rental fleet or otherwise put to first use This warranty covers the labor cost for replacement or repair of parts components or equipment on New Machines or Demonstration Machines and MBW shall pay labor costs at MBW s prevailing rate to affect the warranted repair or replacement MBW reserves the right to adjust labor claims on a claim by claim basis This warranty covers the shipping cost of replacement parts components or equipment via common ground carriers from MBW to an authorized MBW dealer Air freight is considered only in cases where ground transportation is not practical MAY THIS WARRANTY BE TRANSFERRED This warranty is non transferable and only applies to the original end user of a new machine or demonstration machine WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY NOT COVER 1 This warranty does not cover any Used Equipment Used Equipment means any MBW machine or equipment that is not a New Machine or a Demonstration Machine All Used Equipment is sold AS IS WHERE IS WITH ALL FAULTS 2 This warranty does not cover any New Machine Demonstration Machine or their equipment parts or components altered or modified in any way without MBW s

ID VOLUME RECOMMENDED OIL Refer to engine operator owner manual Engine Maintenance Refer to the engine owners manual for maintenance intervals and procedures Engine Speed The engine speed is factory preset according to the speeds listed in the Specifications section Do not tamper with the governor settings The governor establishes safe operating limits that must not be exceeded Cleaning Clean the float machine at the end of each working day to prevent the cement from hardening on the machine Wash the dirty parts with a brush and water Wet the parts exposed to cement with stripping oil never fuel oil Do not oil the rubber moving parts belts etc Reduction Gear Oil Checking the Oil 1 Make sure machine is off 2 Locate the sight gage on the outward side of the gearboxes 3 Oil level should be centered in oil sight gage Replacing the Oil 1 Liftthe blade guard and secure it out of the way 2 Remove the drain plug located under the sight gage and drain oil Replace drain plug Remove filler plug located above sight gage and fill until the sight gage is half full Refer to Fluid levels on page 6 for type and quantity Replace filler plug Lower and secure the guard back to working position Lifting WARNING Never leave the floats attached to the float machine when lifting it more than 3ft off the ground since it could detach and cause damage to people and things To l

Mountthe new blades fixing a 5 16 x 1 3 4 bolt in the hole with the bushing and the smallest two of the holes 7 When the blades have been mounted lower the trowel to the ground 8 Reposition the guard and tighten the bolts Correct attachment of standard blades Replacing The Battery WARNING Handle the battery with particular care since it contains acid 1 Remove the battery cover by unhooking the two hooks Remove the negative cable first Remove the battery and replace it with one with the same characteristics 45 Ah Replacing The Floats CAUTION Be careful when installing the floats one rotor turns clockwise and the other counterclockwise therefore you need to check that the various com ponents have been properly arranged Before mounting the floats check that the blades are clean The blades must be placed in horizontal position using the pitch control Slightly lift the float machine off the ground about 4 Mount the floats on the blades checking the correct direction of rotation When the floats have been mounted reposition the float machine on the ground SERVICE Assembly and disassembly should be performed by a service technician who has been factory trained on MBW equipment The unit should be clean and free of debris Pressure washing before disassembly is recommended Prior to assembly wash all parts in a suitable cleaner or solvent Check mov

14. ift the machine from one level to another use a hoisting crane or lift truck of suitable capacity Weight can be found in Specifications page 3 To transport the machine on a truck place the blades in horizontal position using the control knobs transporting the float machine with the blades inclined may damage the blade tilt system Storage WARNING Never store the machine with fuel in the tank in places where the fuel vapors might come into contact with flames and or sparks If you know that the machine will not be used for more than one month drain the fuel from the tank in order to prevent the formation of rubbery deposits and disconnect the battery If storing the machine in places where the temperature might drop to below freezing drain the water tank Changing Trowel Blades WARNING Trowel blade edges may be sharp when they are worn Wear protective gloves when handling the blades Always check the state of wear of the blades and if they are damaged or bent replace them They must all be replaced at the same time 1 Clean the machine 2 Open the guard by unscrewing the two fixing bolts and hook the guard to the chain 3 Slightly lift the float machine off the ground about 4 4 Remove the blades by removing the bolts through the arm To replace the metric blades with standard you will need to use a bushing kit 9 Use one bushing per blade in hole closest to the spider 6

20. t 1 8 when walking on it On average about 2700 3200 square feet of surface are floated in 10 minutes Speed varies with conditions When the concrete is still fresh take care not to work continuously on the same spot since due to the weight of the float machine you may create an uneven floor surface During the floating phase the floats must not chatter on the surface this might be caused by dirt between the blades and the floats Finishing phase When floating has been completed detach the floats from the blades and clean the cement that has collected during the floating phase off the blades the spider and the protection rim Turn the blade lifting knob clockwise until the blades are inclined by about 1 2 for the first pass for the subsequent smoothing operations continue increasing the blade inclination until obtaining the desired finish The time between one pass and the next is determined by the temperature and by the amount of water in the concrete If the concrete has hardened too quickly in some areas it can be moistened by spraying a small amount of water using the button located on the left control bar in order to obtain the degree of finish desired Stopping Engine 1 Release the accelerator pedal to idle and turn off the key 2 Close the fuel valve and remove the start key from the engine Moving Forward Push both control levers forward Hydraulic pressure regulation The hydraulic operating pressure
