12. releases 2 Push the shift handle DOWN until the red shift latch locks into place DO NOT FORCE 3 Start the unit following the Starting Instructions p 6 and the unit is ready for use To Use the Blower To use the blower make sure the shift handle is in the UP position before starting the unit 1 If the shift handle is in the DOWN position grasp the red shift latch Fig 3 on the shift handle and squeeze until the internal locking mechanism releases 2 Pull the shift handle UP until the red shift latch locks into place DO NOT FORCE 3 Start the unit following the Starting Instructions p 6 and the unit is ready for use CRAFTSMAN Shift Handle Fig 3 OIL amp FUEL INFORMATION WARNING Add fuel in a clean well ventilated outdoor area Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately Avoid creating a source of ignition for spilt fuel Do not start the engine until fuel vapors dissipate CAUTION For proper engine operation and maximum reliability pay strict attention to the oil and fuel mixing instructions on the 2 cycle oil container Using improperly mixed fuel can severely damage the engine WARNING Remove fuel cap slowly to avoid injury from fuel spray Never operate the unit without the fuel cap securely in place To Obtain Correct Fuel Mix Thoroughly mix the proper ratio of 2 cycle engine oil with unleaded gasoline in a separate fuel can Use a 40 1 fuel oil ratio One gallon 3 8 liters

DED GAS 2 CYCLE OIL UNLEADED GAS 2 CYCLE OIL 1 GALLON US 3 2 FL OZ 3 8 LITERS 95 mi 1LITER 25mi_ MIXING RATIO 40 1 STARTING STOPPING INSTRUCTIONS WARNING Operate this unit only in a well ventilated outdoor area Carbon monoxide exhaust fumes can be lethal in a confined area WARNING Avoid accidental starting Make sure you are in the starting position when pulling the starter rope Fig 6 To avoid serious injury the operator and unit must be in a stable position while starting STARTING INSTRUCTIONS 1 Mix gas with oil 2 Fill the fuel tank with the fuel oil mixture See Oil and Fuel Mixing Instructions NOTE There is no need to turn the unit on The On Off Stop Control is in the ON 1 position at all times 3 Fully press and release the primer bulb 10 times slowly Some amount of fuel should be visible in the primer bulb and fuel lines Fig 5 If you can t see fuel in the bulb press and release the bulb as many times as it takes until you can see fuel in it 4 Crouch in the starting position Fig 6 Do not squeeze the throttle and pull the starter rope with a controlled and steady motion until the unit starts Wait 10 to 15 seconds then squeeze the throttle to control the cutting speed IF the engine does not start go back to step 3 NOTE The unit uses the Incredi Pull starting system with MAX FIRE IGNITION which significantly reduces the effort required to start
