15. d bottom plate Insert the pump not included and route the power cord through the notch in the tank Locate pump with discharge aligned with opening in filter pads NOTE If your pump is too tall the mounting base if equipped may need to be removed The mounting base is the lower section of that contains the four suction cup feet Remove the front screen and slide the mounting base off The front Screen can then be reinstalled Remove the cylindrical inserts in the middle of the filter pads Reassemble the unit in the order shown in Figure 1 2 Snap the cover onto the tank Screws are included in a polybag if needed 3 Place the filter box on a flat area near the center of the pond 4 If the unit tends to float squeeze all the air bubbles out of the filter elements while holding the unit under water It may be necessary to place a stone on top or in the bottom of the filter tank 5 After all connections are made and unit is in an adequate location test unit for proper operation 6 Ifthe unit is going to be idle for a period of time follow the cleaning instructions outlined in the next section Do not let the unit freeze in the wintertime This may cause cracking or distortion that may destroy the unit SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS DISCONNECT THE PUMP FROM THE POWER SOURCE BEFORE SERVICING OR REMOVING ANY COMPONENT 1 Initially the filter elements will need cleaning frequently You may find that after a few weeks cleaning can be
